Have you ever thought about trying a stripper header to leave more stubble to catch snow and hold moisture? In drought areas in Canada we use stripper headers, then roll the stubble down in the spring with a roller to make a mat. Then seed into the mat with a disc drill. The mat prevents moisture loss and the taller stubble holds more snow

Just thought would it be easier for you guys to get you own grain cleaning setup. You got a small version of already. Would it be a big leap into a larger scale for the farm
They probably won't as it wouldn't get used enough to be cost effective. Way cheaper for the guy that travels doing grain cleaning to do it for them. Would take too many seasons of use to pay for itself.
General question, can someone answer, I noticed when watching various farmers in Montana, Canada etc.. why do the farms primarily use multiple smaller grain/fertilizer bins rather than limited larger ones like the midwest? Is it all due to land terrain in that area worried about wind damages or something else?
It's about volume and size of farms. Many of the smaller bins are 80 years old. Newer bins are larger. But 40 bu/acre wheat isn't like 250 bu/acre to store
I must be missing something. That side by side (I will admit it’s on larger size if one). Pulls a loaded pup trailer of wheat that easy? My wild guess is 600 bushels of wheat? At 60 lb/bu? That’s 36000 POUNDS. Plus trailer. Even 400 bu is 24k plus trailer. Is that photo shop, joke like bowling balls? The tractor on auger would have trouble pulling that pup trailer I would think.
that urinarin thing will probably continue for at least a year. korea is out of supplies for that, i mean 0. their agriculture and truck emissions cleaning device are all at halt now. they had to begging from china for the supplies. sounds good idea to make some pile of compose fertilizer, you have leaves, grass and land and very thing to do that. this is ironic, when there are so many people and animals in the world, farmland have shortage of this thing.

I wonder if the “new” floor expoxy for garage floors would seal and provide a good floor surface in the grain bins? Just a thought
I was thinking the same thing
Don’t bins need aeration up through the floor? Or is that just corn?
It would have to be approved by the FDA, which it most likely will never get as majority of the ingredients in the epoxy are known carcinogens.

You don't want a sealed floor in grain bins, the perforation is necessary for aeration.

Ok now that's hilarious. After you went to grab the 2nd bowling ball I said to myself "wow that's actually embedded pretty deep in the ground, I wonder if somebody built a cannon and is launching bowling balls onto your property". Then you roll up and put it in the cannon's ammo cradle lol. 🤣☠
That bin with the cracked floor could you coat it with epoxy like we do on shop and garage floors?
A lot of humas in those bins.
