I used a bunch of rocks from around the farm to make a retaining wall by the house when we built a new house. Cheaper to use rocks we had and even though they are all shapes and sizes, it worked out. Plant some clover on that new dam wall it will help hold the wall and deer like it. Hope your family is safe and healthy.
We had a farm in northern IL, that had lots of rocks. One year, while disking, I stopped and picked up all the big rocks I saw. I kept stacking them on the floor of the tractor. By the end of the field, I could no longer operate the brake pedals.
Nick, The reason you do what you do is to provide for your family. I am excited for you and Leg Arms to move your families into new homes. I'm sure Bob looks forward to an improvement in the neighborhood. You're coming up on 10 years of You Tube farming, keep up the good work!
Best dam farming videos on TH-cam. You guys are the best . We sold our farm back in 1965 but you guys bring back wonderful memories ! Tyvm God bless . Harley from Saskatoon Sk
Nick, you had a big job moving and cleaning up those rocks, good thing you have the equipment to handle the job. Hope those reservoirs get water in them this winter season.
I had a neighbor comment on rock picking once. His family has been farming this neighborhood a couple generations longer than mine. He said "I keep picking rocks, my father picked rocks, his father picked rocks, and his father picked rocks. You would think by now we've picked them all"! My father always says "I'm glad Mr(previous owner) picked rocks, but WHY did he dump them here?" !
You can't tell that people have been picking rocks on a field for century. But you can definitely tell if they haven't for just one year, on some types of land.
I watch a lot of videos on TH-cam but the Welkers have a very relaxing and entertaining style. Plus you guys are very blessed in what your forefathers set in motion so you can carry on the legacy and my dream. Thank you all so much for taking the time to make these videos for our viewing pleasure.
Love your channel, I'm super excited about the new homes project, I'm a builder by trade and farm on the side. My wife and I are in the process of building our own new house right now. God bless
Love your regard for nature Nick! Always a thrill to see your Dad and hear his jokes. Great video! You'll be 30 miles from our farm when your in Indy. You guys are great role models for those FFA kids💙
At fuel consumption at 6-8 gph for that piece of equipment your task was not an inexpensive chore. Looked great at the end! Glad you worked on the retention area, they often get overlooked until they fail.
Excited for you both on your future homes. Hope you keep us updated on that. Nick, only you could make rock & dirt moving entertaining and worth watching. Gotta love that dump truck pushing. Thanks for the video. Stay safe and healthy, Anthony
Congrats on building your new house. That was a lot of rocks and dirt. That was cool you pushing the dump truck. That would be something I would do. Be safe and careful and god bless
we had ponds on our place also. but the farm was irrigated. the water levels in the ground went down .so we where short on water. less animals. sad but nothing that could be done about it. great video. praise the lord that you can do that.
I know its become part of your job....but the hard work of sharing is very much appreciated....as are the clean lenses. Peace, thanks, and God bless you guys
I do have to say I really missed your harvest live streams this year. Thats how I found you a few year ago when you did 24 hours live during harvest. Not that I'm asking for that again. It took me a few weeks to watch them all.
Way to get your rocks off....... the property! Nick you mean loader bucket list, right? Great example of farmers giving back for wildlife with those reservoirs. 👍🏻. Good content guys.
You could greatly enhance the dam by planting some tree saplings and small shrubs. You may not know it but over time the trees would help retain water on your land even in times of drought. Planting trees would also act as a windbreaks, reduce soil erosion.
I hope you build with ICF blocks. With mother nature wind, fire, bugs. Stamp and stain the concrete radiant heat floors. Finish after children. Would allow dry in for winter finishing. It will be fun watching the team in build mode.
Hi Nick. Your videos are very well produced, I've been enjoying them for years. Couple suggestions. Get a rock separator. Keep that precious dirt to fill in the swamps. Then use the rocks to build some nice no mortar rock walls around your new homes. It'll be beautiful and a fun connection to the past generations that pulled those rocks out of the ground. Second. Be careful of the dam work. The EPA will be after you for messin' with "navigable waterways " because they are nuts....
Congrats on your half million subscribers! That puts you well into the TH-cam elite. Just keep producing good content. You've got house builds coming so that will be good too.
Yeah that's a good idea Nick what you were doing for the fall cleaning up the rock lines and old fence lines whatever else moving them Hopper bin bottoms that's good you and that leg arms are getting ready to break ground for your new houses
Great video Nick, yes it wonderful to have wild life, one has to be careful on what Chemicals that are used on the Farms, Bob wheres Koby I didnt see him in with you, maybe a little squizzey in the cabin , Cheers Best Wishes Trevor .W.Bacelli. Biloela Qld Australia.
I’m amazed how there is literally always something to do. Farming takes a lot more knowledge about a lot more subjects than I ever realized. Where would we be with out our farmers and ranchers?… Hungry and Nekked
Funny how you say that but their no food at the stores that come from the farmers in the USA. They sell to other country's. They work for the AG not you. You should just plant your own food because you will not have it or be able to afford it.
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Their are always jobs around the farm that need doing. Glad you were able to get too these rock piles and the water pond to rebuild the sides. You had a lot of rock along the field dividers. Nice to have those water ponds for wild life. Thanks for doing that. Am so happy you and legarms are able to build larger homes for your larger families. That will be nice and the kids will enjoy the extra room. Trust your building will go good. Looking forward to seeing them. About it for now. You all take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks. May god watch over all of you. The Iowa farm boy from years ago.
Here in the Sierra Nevada Foothills we’ve been hammered with record breaking 24 hour rainfall totals in places, we need it bad here. I hope this makes to y’all. I hope next season is proper.
Have you guys considered renting a rock crusher for a day or something to crush all those rocks and get a pile of gravel to use for road maintenance or sell? Might be worth the time after getting all those rocks together over the years
had to chuckle when you mentioned the rock removal. was thinking it might have been that really big one the equipment keeps hitting in the field. You showed it awhile back and talked about moving it one day. Good job with all these ones.
I know you have mentioned in previous videos, how hard it is to get gravel in your area. It looks like you have enough rock that a mobile rock crusher would be worth while. The you would have a decent stock pile of gravel that you could use, or sell.
The Welker family are truly the best!!!!!! Love all of you !!!
I love little baby ducks, old pickup trucks, slow moving trains and planes.
You should write a song 🎵 😊
Thought it was a new record of Rolling Stones, but no. Even old i see 1973 :)
Good work Nick👍👍
I agree, GOD Bless guys!
Hair cut is fine, Nico video 👏
Thats the right attitude , towards nature and property!
Seeing your dad happily Pun away, has made my day! Great work guys, thanks for entertaining us and letting us into your life.
Many blessings for your family

You can, and many have, also use rocks to build a house.
Nick....you rock !
Great farm and great families. May God Bless you all.
God Bless you for building back up the reservoir! I feel like same way for wildlife! Great job! Bet the neighbor appreciates it also!
God bless you all good luck and thank you for feeding the world I appreciate it and know hard work and what it means
Very nice of Welker farms to build up the reservoir. Called giving back or paying it forward.
We had a farm in northern IL, that had lots of rocks. One year, while disking, I stopped and picked up all the big rocks I saw. I kept stacking them on the floor of the tractor. By the end of the field, I could no longer operate the brake pedals.
Nick you're a good man and someday your children and grand babies will talk about all the work you and your dad did to save the reservoir.
Nick, The reason you do what you do is to provide for your family. I am excited for you and Leg Arms to move your families into new homes. I'm sure Bob looks forward to an improvement in the neighborhood. You're coming up on 10 years of You Tube farming, keep up the good work!
OMG ! Their growing reservoirs now !! Is there no limit to what they grow !!!
Dam right 😊
Best dam farming videos on TH-cam. You guys are the best . We sold our farm back in 1965 but you guys bring back wonderful memories ! Tyvm God bless . Harley from Saskatoon Sk
great that you're getting new digs! its obvious you have to be self sufficient so far from other support!
Nick and Bob are Rock Stars...
Rocking and rolling on the farm.
Rock on, Nick!
You like wildlife! --- in a nice gravy!
Nick, you had a big job moving and cleaning up those rocks, good thing you have the equipment to handle the job. Hope those reservoirs get water in them this winter season.

Love seeing you improve your farm, it is a lot of work but it’s worth it. I was once told that Mother Nature cannot do everything and needs our help
Love your regard for nature Nick! Always a thrill to see your Dad and hear his jokes. Great video! You'll be 30 miles from our farm when your in Indy. You guys are great role models for those FFA kids💙
Looks like you and your dad are rocking it. Keep it up.
At fuel consumption at 6-8 gph for that piece of equipment your task was not an inexpensive chore. Looked great at the end! Glad you worked on the retention area, they often get overlooked until they fail.
Seller Family… great blog. Never get bored your lessons.
Plant some trees around your reservoir / dam, to turn it into a nice green habitat.
Man that's a project that will ROCK your world!!!!! Excited for you guys, exciting times to come!
Great camera angles as usual 👌
Excited for you both on your future homes. Hope you keep us updated on that. Nick, only you could make rock & dirt moving entertaining and worth watching. Gotta love that dump truck pushing. Thanks for the video. Stay safe and healthy,
Anthony
Thanks Anthony!
My favorite thing about you guys was the last thing you said!
May God bless!
You guys are awesome and have taught me so much about what goes in to running a farm. Thank god for folks like you all.
Our pleasure!
Congrats on building your new house. That was a lot of rocks and dirt. That was cool you pushing the dump truck. That would be something I would do. Be safe and careful and god bless
FANTASTIC JOB

Thanks, hoping harvest will be more exciting next year!
It’s exciting to hear about the future homes.
God bless you and thank you for your hard work to make our land look better.
@7:15 it was funny to hear him talk about how "dry" it is. In Australia, I would be happy to have that much feed in a dry year.
Good on you nick to wilding your farm your kids and grandkids will appreciate it.
Looking forward to seeing your new homes!
ROCK ON!!!!!!!
GREAT VIDEO.
Wow Nick you have been rocking and rolling, you got it looking good 👍
Always a good video when you post, best of luck on the new homes for the families.
Thank f0rumrr!
Looks nice keep it up the world is loving it.
The Mountain view in the distance are incredible
save the rocks for the main road entrance to your new home, get one of those old skool rock walls built.
😇🇺🇸😍stay safe
Bob’s on his riddle game!
Great job y’all
You guys should look into renting a rock crusher and make your own gravel for the grain bin site.
Way to "Rock Around the Clock"...lol Hope everyone is well and having fun. Thank you and God bless!
Awesome shot of that BNSF train going by!
Way to get your rocks off....... the property! Nick you mean loader bucket list, right? Great example of farmers giving back for wildlife with those reservoirs. 👍🏻. Good content guys.
We love yall keep up the awesome work!!
Keep showing the big buds I bet if you put up a poll as far as what we love to watch its the big buds. If you show them they will come.
For sure!
Great Job Nick, all the best from China
Great video Nick. Looking forward to the house builds too.
It's nice when a little extra time is in favor to accomplish thing's on the list
You could greatly enhance the dam by planting some tree saplings and small shrubs. You may not know it but over time the trees would help retain water on your land even in times of drought. Planting trees would also act as a windbreaks, reduce soil erosion.
I used to run a 966 Cat wheel loader, brings back memories.
Iove watching you guys 😃👍god bless you all at welkers farm. 🇩🇰
Nick, you're Dad rules 🍻
I hope you build with ICF blocks. With mother nature wind, fire, bugs. Stamp and stain the concrete radiant heat floors. Finish after children. Would allow dry in for winter finishing. It will be fun watching the team in build mode.
I would like to see that. Maybe get a sponsorship out of the deal.
Welker farms are amazing.👍❤️

Great photography again! Looking forward to seeing the reservoir full and teaming with wild life.
You rocked this one!

Thanks Tony for your kind words and suggestions!
Rock'n roll, Welker-style! 😉
Thanks a lot for the video! 😊👍🏻
Appreciate your videos!
People who live in states where they get lots of rain don't understand what water means to those who don't!
Love seeing you guys "Rockin" out.
Congrats on your half million subscribers! That puts you well into the TH-cam elite. Just keep producing good content. You've got house builds coming so that will be good too.

Not much room in the skidsteer cab
Would love to see every detail regarding the house projects! Content for days!
Now that the lake house is finished, might as well!
Looks great Nick
I’m amazed how there is literally always something to do. Farming takes a lot more knowledge about a lot more subjects than I ever realized. Where would we be with out our farmers and ranchers?… Hungry and Nekked
You should try growing your own food in a small garden, its fricking hard. Let alone farming thousands of acres.
Funny how you say that but their no food at the stores that come from the farmers in the USA. They sell to other country's. They work for the AG not you. You should just plant your own food because you will not have it or be able to afford it.
@Red River ValleyBoy Or you love it and hate it. That's the way I've been most of my life.
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Their are always jobs around the farm that need doing. The Iowa farm boy from years ago.
Lots of exciting stuff happening on the farm! Thanks Steve, God bless!
If your area can grow blackberries! Those rock piles can provide wonderful juice, jams, pies and cobblers!
My wife would love that!
Here in the Sierra Nevada Foothills we’ve been hammered with record breaking 24 hour rainfall totals in places, we need it bad here. I hope this makes to y’all. I hope next season is proper.

In a wild fire you may need that water also. Helicopter buckets can pick up about from anywhere.

Keep up the good work!
thats the truest thing ive ever hear. if on thing shakes it annoys the crap out of me but if everything shakes it is what it is lol
You guys rocked 🎸 this video 📹.
