    I rock climb and the rake and leaf blower are to clean the wall. They have the fixed lines setup because they are developing the crag (climbing area) you hang from the fixed lines to add bolts into the wall. The leaf blower also helps blow the dust out of the hole you're about to bolt. These styles of climbing routes are called sport climbing routes. Once they finish developing the route you'll climb it and clip quickdraws into the bolts and then clip your rope as you make your way up.

    We was climbing Hairpin decades ago. Mr B has some real good trails, thankfully he closed them down since the sxs clowns came around.

    I love seeing Kentucky. I served my Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints mission in Kentucky way back in 95-97. Seeing that private Jeeping trail is beautiful.

    That looked fun!! I liked those hidden away trails. They were just the right amount of challenging to be fun, but not so much that it broke your rigs. Oh, and those inverted cliffs were crazy amazing. Great vid - thanks for taking us along for the ride.

      Use to ride those trails in rail buggies years ago long before they were closed off. Miles off oil well trails out their.

    Been so long since I’ve been on those trails…. It’s a shame that they are closed down now but I understand why. Had many memories on hair pin, lovers leap, lower staircase, jacobs ladder, and Sasquatch.

    Belaying is securing the climber from below them. Repelling is what you guys were referring to. Great video, looks like fun.

    Yes, we climb at the RRG very often. But the fact that there is 2 ropes and quick draws left on multiple routes is super concerning. No one would ever leave that amount of gear laying around. Probably worth reporting.

    Rappelling is when you go down the rope. Belaying is the person on the bottom of the rope helping to control the person rappelling down.

    Ya that's hard rock climbing. Probably 5.11 and someone is bolting the rock making a sport climbing route. The rake is probably for up higher to get off the dirt and plants to make it safer to top out on there route.

    Reminds me of Pumpjack Offroad Park in Columbia Ky. We used to drive from Louisville to go there all the time. It got shutdown as well.
