She is one of the best 👌🏻 ❤ and this song is just amazing. For her, this song is like for Patsy Cline the "Crazy " , they're unique and they exactly fit on their nature. No one can sing these songs as they are doing it. I think you understand what I am talking about ❤. They put their stump on these song and made them Evergreen ❤❤❤ Thank you for this gem 💎 of 🎶 🎵 music. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️💯💥💫
Thanks for your elegant words and thoughts on this wonderful song. You catch it just right - the song sits in its own musical niche - just like 'Crazy' or Del Shannon's 'Runaway', Brian Hyland's 'Sealed With A Kiss', etc...
Excellent!! Miss Davis' heart breaking rendition of her classic hit is an all-time favorite of mine and coupling it with this touching clip of Ida makes them both even better. This song and its raw emotion have ripped my heart apart for many, many years and I've loved every time it has. No one has ever performed it better, or ever will. Thanks so much Sir B. 😥 😓 😢 👍🏻 🎶
It's an unforgettable memory. I was 15 years old. Thanks to her slow and beautiful pronunciation, that was the first song with English lyrics that I was able to understand right away. It was in black and white, but I felt like I could see the color of the curtains. It might be William Morris? And I still use a rotary dial black phone from that era. lol Thank you ♪ 😄
Thanks for sharing your memories, and hats off to Skeeter for her clear pronunciation. This song seems to be special to a lot of people. Mentally, this song along with 'I Will Follow Him', form a sub-genre of music for me. I hadn't noticed the curtains, but now I'm waiting for them to appear each time...

@SirBasildeBrush exactly 💯 👏 all unique singers have their unique songs. 👌🏻
8th grade ….. and she moved away - many states away actually. That was a lifetime ago. She s an angel now. To me - she was then….. not just now.
Sad and poignant, and this is the song to evoke those memories and emotions for something now lost.
Melancholy song but I also love it with Ida lupilo it gives even more meaning to this melody Thank you sir ❤
Some beautiful film moments from Ida for a beautiful song.
For this music and these images the end of the world will never reach them.
..the way it should be.

Delighted! A long-time favourite of mine, too. A stand-out song from the music of my youth. Ida never disappoints.
WOW !!! The Best Song by Skeeter Davis ❤❤❤. And what a Wonderful Video !!!❤❤❤.
Thank You my Friend SirBasildeBrush.
Thank you. Delighted you're enjoying the clip of a pensive Ida Lupino along along to this great song.

@@SirBasildeBrush When I look at the EP label now, it says Producer: Chet Atkins.
That famous guitarist ! ! ? ?
@@sassyrc1901 Yes, that's him.
@@SirBasildeBrush Wow! Thanks♪
❤🙂
Is that Beverly Garland?
It's Ida Lupino.
@@SirBasildeBrush Ooops. Thanks
Beautiful melody, but I enjoy it more in Brenda Lee's voice
Both great versions, but I'm going to stick with Skeeter's.
