Insurance companies have raised their rates over 20% in the last year. Some people have gotten triple and quadruple increases. They want more or they’re going to leave. #insurance #StateFarm #jpmorgan #freechecking #Allstate #Allegedly

Yes, it's a Mafia shakedown. I loathe insurance companies, as a rule. But hear this. Bad CA government policies have caused this problem, and CA government is voted in by CA voters. PG and E got away, literally, with murder a couple years back. When a couple small towns burned to the ground and PG and E was found responsible, NewScum talked tough against them, but they failed to be held accountable for those fires. CA also has failed to appropriately take care our our forest floor debris, which is a tinder box ready to go at the drop of a hat. And when it gets started, fires are so intense and so big that there's virtually no way to put them out. Also consider our full 30% inflation over the past 3 years, which is the exact percentage increase that S Farm wants. With regard to homeless, over the past 18 months, 73% of fires in LA County were accidentally or intentionally started by homeless. The Homeless Industrial Complex is lining its pockets with billions, yet the problem is worsening. Again, bad CA policy. The "climate change" mantra is sickening. Stop it. And with car insurance, again, we have much more expensive cars, between inflation and the fact that people demand 10K in extra luxury tech, so that the cost of fixing vehicles has exploded. Not to mention untold numbers of citizens and non citizens who are driving without any insurance, which drives costs up for the rest of us.

temperatures are fraud a quick glance of the locations of the measurements found, they are not following the guidelines for weather station placement, i.e. they are putting them in direct sun on the blacktop
"Distorted data? Feds close 600 weather stations amid criticism they're situated to report warming
Data from hundreds of weather stations located around the U.S. appear to show the planet is getting warmer, but some critics say it's the government's books that are getting cooked -- thanks to temperature readings from sweltering parking lots, airports and other locations that distort the true state of the climate.
Indeed, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has closed some 600 out of nearly 9,000 weather stations over the past two years that it has deemed problematic or unnecessary, after a long campaign by one critic highlighting the problem of using unreliable data. The agency says the closures will help improve gathering of weather data, but critics like meterologist and blogger Anthony Watts say it is too little, too late." - Fox News, August 13, 2013

I have a home in Georgia with 2 vehicles and State Farm is my insurance carrier. This year they increased my rates by a huge percentage so it's not only California they are gouging! The federal government, if we had one, should step in and get this under control but they don't care what happens to us taxpayers and nobody with a brain is there anyway! So all of these, insurance companies, banks, grocery stores can charge whatever they want. There's nobody to stop them any longer, so the country and our financial system will finally collapse!

I purchased it ar age 53 in 2008 and until 2021, had never had a rate increase. Everyone knows the inflation was orchestrated and all of this is the ripple effect of wreeckless government spending. State Farm sent a letter I didn’t get out stating I needed to contact them, they’d have to drop my coverage as a old traffic court fee wasn’t paid in another state like 7 years prior. Then three months later I get a phone call from them trying to sell me other insurance on a apt. I then found out I didn’t have auto insurance. I cleared up the unpaid fee of $60 for court costs from 7 years ago the next day and got license released.. and they charged me a third more for coverage as I was driving without coverage.. because they never called me. They sent out a letter I didn’t get. So they will call to sell you crap. Just not to tell you they are dropping your coverage. Worst company ever

Regular homeowners does not include flood either so must purchase that as well since it floods here frequently, These three run about 10k per year. This is with extremely high deductibles. As I type this, hurricane Beryl is bearing down on Texas so I am sure there will be increases after this blows through. State Farm Insurance is a mutual company, meaning it is owned by its policyholders rather than external shareholders. This structure allows policyholders to have a voice in the company's management and operations, typically through the election of a board of directors.
The primary entity within the State Farm group is the State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, which is the parent company of the various State Farm affiliates. As a mutual company, the policyholders effectively are the majority stakeholders in State Farm, benefiting from any profits and having the ability to influence decisions through their representatives on the board of directors (State Farm Newsroom) (State Farm).
In recent leadership updates, Jon Farney has been selected as the new CEO of State Farm, taking over from Michael Tipsord. Farney has been with State Farm since 1993 and has held various leadership roles, including CFO and President, before being appointed CEO

California already has a separate fire insurance program that’s been in place for decades and decades. It’s called a DIC policy which stands for “difference in conditions”. It does exactly what you said, you get one policy from the private market that covers things but excludes the fire hazard. You then go to the State of California for a fire hazard policy. So you have two policies, one private, one from the State.

Claim payouts in California reach billions yearly. Previously, CA insurance commissioners capped rate increases at around 7%, which insurers say isn't enough. Insurance companies need to make a profit, cover expenses, and maintain reserves for claims, which they struggle to do in California. State Farm's financial rating recently dropped due to losses in its home insurance business. This isn't just in CA, but nationwide. Most mortgage companies require insurance from highly rated companies, or they'll force more expensive third-party insurance on you. The only solution might be for CA to expand its FAIR plan and provide more state-sponsored coverage, likely leading to higher taxes.

  • @crosslink1493

30% California Home insurance price increase - That sounds like the 'shakedown' the insurance companies did in the mid-1990 when the Northridge earthquake hit, they were going to leave if they had to include that in policies. They were allowed to drop it but didn't give any price cuts. Hope the state works out a deal for an added charge in areas with brushfire dangers and not soak those of us living in suburban areas with no dry grass of brush.
Chase Checking - I've got to check (not a pun) if they waive that fee for holders of other chase accounts/deposits/investments above certain levels.

Let State Farm raise the rates. Let them pull out if the rate increase is denied. That would increase business for the other insurance companies at State Farm's expense.
Some banks already do charge for a checking account, but it's a "per check" charge and not a monthly fee, but usually if one writes 4 or more checks a month. These are very popular for the seniors, whose income is limited. Other free checking is based on age, like above age 65. Commercial checking accounts almost always have a charge, either by checks per month or a monthly fee or going below a certain minimum amount. Depends on the bank. Credit unions mostly do not have pay per check or paid checking account. When one bank charges more, the other banks gain, as the accounts charged, switch over to "no pay" checking.
If Chase Bank charges for checking, a lot of people will switch to a Credit Union account. CU's are not banks, as you said a while back, but they act like banks. So why not now. Most already have free checking with membership. Sure, they won't take on business or commercial accounts, but business's make up the check account charge by passing it on to the customer. Banks and Insurance companies can only go so far, but later they lose more than they gain.

3:09 Dan is out of practice. Came here to post! Though, I've never seen someone who can film themselves while walking outside, talking continuously without needing frequent edits, dodging passersby, geese, kids, yoga moms, smiling, and looking good while doing all this... all at the same time.
Why can't we get a presidential candidate like Dan to vote for?

There must be a lot of credit money out there because the evening news tonight said millions of people were travelling home this weekend from the holidays. TSA did record checks. So where is the money coming from?

@@l.ls.8890it's coming from the 10% of the super rich they're putting 30 trillion dollars into the economy. It's not all discredit you have lots of people with money out there don't believe that people are poor because they are not. Nobody really lost any money it just seems that way it's all the same. No different than any other time.

We have been with Safeco - home, three vehicles and RV - for three years.
Shopped around with independent agent and Safeco was still the lowest.....But....
    42% increase in homeowners policy.
    Vehicle policy jumped 25%.
Idaho has been invaded by out of staters and any bargains are long gone.
I will add that we have had no claims in years and high deductibles.

Had State Farm for over 20 years. My bill been going up last few years like crazy in New Hampshire. I sign up for there new 💥Drive Safe & Save💥 app. You put a beacon in your vehicle and it tracks your Braking,Acceleration,Speed,Cornering & Phone distraction. I saw my bill go down about 30% already . If like a video game, you try to drive as good as possible each trip and see your scores after😍. Then you see your bill go down.
FYI if your running late and in a hurry just shut it off for that trip🤪
