Oh very much so, and they were 20 years ago too. The two orb challenges that always stick in my mind is the Trolly in Zephyr (Trouble With The Trolley, Eh?), though that really was challenging for 90s me, and this, which was just a dull, monotonous slog.

For some reason they gave me way more trouble when I was a kid. Meanwhile I'm now so stupid I didn't even see the corner at 3:23 and couldn't figure out how to reach the end level portal.
Anyone struggling to find gems that they didn’t actually miss, if you complete the level again and exit through the portal it should give you the gems if you come back. If it doesn’t work, keep trying eventually it will. Just go through the portal to get there, and leave through the portal in the game, not the menu

I was literally on my way to the portal, but then I died, but when I respawned, I got 100% 🤔 weird
There is a better way. Just enter the level after finishing it and keep dying on the first birds, untill u will get 100%
There’s a way easier way to fly. Lol. You can flame them and get the seeds back.

True, but how else am I supposed to I get onto the huge platform without having previous trees up in the first place? Lol Can't just jump up from the ground at the "tallest" one (third I think).
*Misplaced your seeds, have you? I can make all the plants shrink again if you like to start over.*
Shoot flames at one of them and it'll turn back to a seed
The solutions I’ve heard of when you can’t seem to find your last few gems.
Solution 1: Pass through the portal even if the level isn’t 100% completed. Come back, play through the level again, and exit the portal. Eventually you will have your 100% completion.
Solution 2: Press L3 (left analog stick) and sparks will point you in the direction of where the gems may be. Walk throughout the level and just follow in the direction sparks is trying to point you to.
What I did: Retraced my steps about 3 times before I left the portal, and then came back. Replayed the level, and the second time played by through the portal, I used L3 (Sparx) to point me in the direction of where the gems may be. I went looking in an area I had previously checked many times. They were there. My first time playing through the level, they didn’t appear. Second time playing through, they appear. Only difference is my second time around, I did use Sparx. I sincerely hope this helps somebody out

The seed challenge. My guy, if you flame the platforms, they turn back into seeds. That was upsetting to watch 😐
No one really plays this game anymore but use the first seed and plant it in front of the cliff edge in the mud puddle and you can easily get that third seed so you don’t have to get so angry trying to do the big jump

The easiest way is to get the first seed and take it to the seed by the red gem get that one then you’ll have 2 seeds which are the first 2 and makes jumping to the third seed way easier and if you fall you don’t have to worry about getting up cause you’ll have the first 3 that are like normal steps
Dude I come within an inch of rage quitting this and throwing my controller against after 500 trials I got a headache and then I read your comment and seen it on here and tried it your way and it works smoothly thanks a whole bunch they should never make things like this in games that's hard a game is supposed to be about having fun not about busting a freaking testicle it's ridiculous sometimes
Throught this comment I found out that you can get your seeds back. If they said that ingame I would have beaten this level 30 min ago.

If you ever wonder "how the heck he gonna do this jump" at 12:25. There is another seed, reachable right from the beginning. And the plants evolve back into seeds when you fire at them.

I think I pulled an Arin Hanson and skipped instructions or something. I could not for the life of me figure out how to do the seeds then came here to find you could just flame them
After numerous tries of jumping from the short ledge to the taller beanstalk… I had a little bit of a controller meltdown and started abusing the buttons on my controller 🥴 Not my best moment, BUT, in doing that I discovered that you can FLAME THE BEANSTALKS and it will turn it back into a seed!!!! I don’t know if anyone else knew that but it was a BREEZE after I learned that. Sometimes mini controller tantrums actually help in more ways than one 😂

Use the first seed given to go around where a cowlek can be found near an edge. There should be another seed and a gem (use flames to turn plant into seed form). Take both seeds back to orignal area and plant them in the holes near stone wall to continue!!!

I couldnt reach the 2nd seed no matter how many different ways I saw in the comments. So I took the seed to a different area where the seed and the gem are at the bottom and used that one. Best accomplishment of 2020!

My game is broken. Spark is pointing to the last gem and he thinks it's in the air in the first area. I went through the level using the portal about 100 times now and no success. So yeah my game broken!
I’ve just encountered the same problem, I check the first area and there’s absolutely nothing... it’s super frustrating I only need ten more gems for the area

I know this is a super late reply, but I had the same issue. I let the birds kill me in the first area (where the gem glitch was happening) and when I revived it automatically gave me the missing 10 gems

For anyone that is struggling with the plant method you can burn the plants and get a third seed down in the back corner.
Dont do the seeds and plants this way its harder. You have to run and get another one before the first planter

On Switch and the missing gem problem is still prevelant. If exiting the level isn't working try having enemies kill you. I did this and I automatically got my 10 gems 🤷🏾♂️

Same I had the same problem all u need to do is die by the birds at the beginning and you’ll get the 100% dumb glitch but it worked for me

I did the exact same thing. Spent about 2 hours scoping every square inch of the level and then followed this video but still I can't find them
That baloon which you shoot from the first cannon you might have missed the gems it drops first run and they dont respawn in subsequent runs.

Dam I love your guide for Spyro… that DAMMMM those jumps (the ones you fast forwarded through with the beanstalks) had me jammed up for soooo looong I couldn’t get them!!! But then I figured out that there was actually a way of doing it VERY EASILY !!! hahaha you chose the hard way, you should have flown to that remote area with the one random red crystal and the beanstalk seed sitting in it first (the area you went AT THE END!) and that would have been your 3rd seed if you brought it up to that section where you were having difficulties, you could have planted it right next to the other ones, and used them as steps hahaha! I JUST KNEW a Spyro game couldn’t be this hard! Haha I give them credit tho for the puzzles tho, and figuring out different ways to solve things, very clever !

This level was glitchy for me...I died and went back to get the seed from the professor and he didn't give it to me so I could not get up higher to Juliet's tower 😥

Holy crap that’s as HARD!!!! My second beanstalk would not grow big enough to let me jump to the third so I had to go to the red gem. Wow that was cleaverly hard!
After 20 years I can say that's a kinda fucked up imaginary for a kid's game. You're in a war zone and you have to kill some child soldiers. Plus that "sacrifice their souls to unlock the power-up" thing

Yessss finally I know something this guy's dose not!! bro with the seeds you pick the first one up place it for the small first plant then go to the ledge and place the second one, then go to the bottom left ledge where the cow is use the plant see jump up on the ledge get the seed on it go back plant the seed then go back to the bottom right flame the plant reuse the seed
so by luck i found that for the seeds you can spit fire at them to get the seed back much more easier than trying to jump and fly like how this guide shows

I love going back to run around an empty level that I’ve already played twice just to look for one fuckin gem for a useless powerup that I’m not even going to use anyways
My god trying to make these seed platform jumps is ridiculous (EDIT: OHHHH!!! it's not meant to be that hard! You take the first seed all the way across the map to get the 2nd seed atop a small platform, then you can use the second seed and flame the first platform to get you seed back. Then you have 2 seeds to make the jumps much easier!)
For some reason I couldn't find te 2 cowlets after you find the first 5, they weren't at that place. Can someone help me out?

This game is a lot of fun and it is also sometimes very difficult to come up with something
I had another plant a little back in small inditation in the wall a bit back you could take a seed, plant it in front of it, get the other seed and plant both in their location near the doctor, I imagine this was driving you a bit potty right? 😃 (BTW I have the Windows release of the game.)

If you still don't know, you could just take the seed the doctor gave you, go to the mud puddle to plant the seed, then you can grab that seed and the gem no problem. As soon as you're finished, you can flame the planted seed at the mud puddle location and reuse it for climbing.
Nope. Tried 10 ways from sunday. That jump is simply bugged for me. Uninstalled because of this stupidity.

@VoiceOfMads here's I tip since I found the last gem. Go back and press the left analog stick in & Sparks will show you the direction of the gem you are missing. I hope this helps you :)
