One time as a traitor I found a really small room, so I built airlocks on every tile and cut the saftey, timer, and one power wire. I linked the doors to a remote signaler and had a second signaler to bolt the exit door closed. I told hos there was contraband in the room and killed them in the trap. It definitely didn't kill them as fast as I hoped because they had combat gloves, but man was it funny
I love the hacking in this game. It's ultimately pretty simple, but the way it's presented almost feels a bit realistic. It's also not too quick, nor too long.
Space station 14 will not be a successful re-creation of 13 until the clown without insulated gloves can hack into the captains office if left unattended for too long.
oh so THAT is how you electrify doors and windows. Exactly what i wanted to learn, even! This should help alot next time there is a zombie outbreak at discouraging them for longer periods.
I like to empty bar machines. Likely faster to snip the right wire than have to steal Pun Pun's ID and manage the card. Just need gloves, cutters, screwdriver. Depends on what I get a hold of first.
on the one hand I understand this content is neccesary for new players. on the other hand I'm gonna dread doing any non antag role for a couple of days. Your vids bring attention to a lot of annoying shit. Like, you removed the AME controller as syndie in ONE video. I had to deal with that shit for two weeks in basically every single shift.
I know the negative parts are obviously going to be more apparent than positive ones, but it's always better to have a guide rather than not to have one - if the AME controller thing, for example, has been done too many times, it will be much tamer later perhaps, like for variety's sake. And even besides that, for example I'll really need to know how to door hack as a salvage enthusiast

Note that bolt light also applies to emergency access!
I think it technically stands for back light but I see most people just refer to it as bolt.
