    Hi GG. I wanted to thank you. I got selected as an L5 Program Manager after interviewing for about 2 months. I have constantly used your content (both TH-cam and Paid ones) in improving my answers. I am yet to go through the Salary Negotiation part now, but thanks for the work that you are doing.

    GG, i am on day 2 of my loop interviews today and i really appreciate your advice in the video regarding pivotting examples for questions asked. But what i am realizing is that once i use an example for a pivot, hold behold i am being asked a question that is directly answering with the same example and now i have to dip into the second best i can think of! I have prepared 40 examples for 10 LPs…and yet im struggling to put my best foot forward…i even got thinking yesterday (day 1) that thank god i am interviewing at the back of 12+ yrs of experience, otherwise to come up with this many strong examples is crazy (something that you also mentioned in this video)..well on to day 2! But wanted to share the experience to vouche the content you have created is spot on (for future interviewees) :-)

    Very useful video. Thanks. I have a few questions, hope you donlt mind:
    (i) When writing up their notes for a loop interview, do the interviewers need to also document the exact question they asked and the follow up questions, so the panel can see the flow and what the candidate is responding to?
    (ii) Is it common for an interviewer to ask questions not in the AIQB? And if they do, will the panel and BR score the validity of the question i.e. could the question be discounted if it's deemed too difficult, too easy or not in the spirit of the LP or possibly weighted differently?
    (iii) Following on from (ii), I assume the interviewers are trained to such a level that odd, biased or intentionally difficult questions aren't asked??
    (iv) I have had one recruiter phone screen plus a second phone screen with a HM. I am scheduled for a third phone screen with an in business counterpart. If I get through this third phone screen, then I assume it will be onto the Loop. Will these interviews be documented to the same level as the Loop and will they form part of panel discussion after the Loop? Or is the Loop considered a discreet process seperate to the prior phone screens?

      (i) You are supposed to. The quality of notes varies across interviewers so sometimes it's verbatim other times it can be more brief. (ii) It's not uncommon. No there's no scoring of the question. The focus is more on the applicability of the answer given. If the interviewer is using data from your answer to make a judgement that doesn't pertain then the LPs then the BR will not allow it to be considered. If a BR feels an interviewer is asking inappropriate/poor-quality questions, they're empowered to take the interviewer aside and provide feedback and coaching to them. They may contact their line manager with that feedback if they are especially concerned. (iii) In theory Yes, however with the move to digital training rather than in person, my personal opinion is that the standard of interviewing has dropped (iv) I would expect the next step to be loop. Early round interview notes can be considered in the loop debrief, although usually they are only referred to if the group feel they are lacking data on a certain point from loop. However only the HM and the BR have access to all of the data from the early rounds All interviews should be documented to the same standard. But as always, there's what should happen and what does happen. Good luck!!

    I love your content and preparing for my first interview. What is your opinion on reusing a scenario throughout my interviews? For example, I use scenario #1 on my first interview and LP about results, and reuse the scenario #1 on a later interview that fits another LP, such as bias for action?

    I mean, if you think about it, this gets absolutely ridiculous. "Tell me about the time when you had a new idea AND you had to convince the rest of the team to go along with it". May be I had a great idea, but because it was so great, I didn't have a situation where I had to convince anybody: everybody was already on board with it! How do you expect me to answer this... only lie, I guess.

    • @amazoninterviewwhizzdayone503
      @amazoninterviewwhizzdayone503  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You use it as an example for a question that says "tell me about a time you had a really innovative idea" or "tell me about a time you had a radical solution to a problem". No need to talk about who was for it or against it there
