The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment Freedom Parade in Poulton

Well this is something different to start the week off! Enjoy highlights from The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment Freedom Parade in Poulton, on Monday 23 May 2022. The Regiment was granted the Freedom of Wyre in 2018 but the parade postponed due to the pandemic. Today the Freedom was marked with them having the right to 'march into town with drums beating, colours flying and bayonets fixed.'

I used to visit poulton every weekend when l lived in Blackpool..it's a lovely old English small town with the big church located at the town centre. Your interesting video bring me back to the memory lane .

Lovely video Jane and so well narrated - you may well be a contender for David Dimbleby's job! The last time I saw Poulton through your lens the churchyard was full of crocuses I think, may have been when you searched for the Pirate's resting place.
Glad the weather held out for the main event. Let us hope the weather is kind over Jubilee weekend.

Yes,Lovely Video Jane,especially as its a good few years since I used to go to Poulton with my Aunty Betty,who lived just off Nutter Road in Cleveleys.Have always had a soft spot for Poulton!
