So as a fellow 240 owner I agree the KA is a pain...I've changed out the distributor 3 times, the crankshaft sensor 2 times...sadly she's not running at the moment and I thought about saying screw it and swapping a black top SR in it. But yes these cars are a bunch of work but well worth it.
Well like 2 weeks ago when chilly Willy was sanding the blueberry I commented asking what light will was using ... but chrismoneyruddy didn’t reply so I kept looking in the background of the videos and found out it’s a stream light switchblade 800lumen light ... I bought it and it’s bright and quality asf ... thanks ruddy
Put the nut back on after loosing it from the ball joints and tie rods . That way when you hit the knuckles with a hammer you don’t hit the threads 💯🍻👊🏼

I think itd be good to get some seat time in a bigger body chassis too, since the genesis is gonna be pretty hefty compared to the small wheel base and light miatas youre used to
I beat on my KA so much and it never gave me rod knock and never burnt a drop of oil only leaked it 👌🏻🤘🏻 ran it open header for months just trying to blow it up and it never gave up just started missing
I wish I kept my 180, the S chassis cars are so easy to work on and tune. You can get your hands in to reach any part on them. The viscous diff can take a beating no sweat.
shine a light through one side of cat and look throgh opposite side of the cat to see the light, if you see through every vein its not clogged, if you cant see light through any or majority of veins it is clogged, and you can clean out cats with hot water and degreaser. have to saok in bucket and then lower power pressure wash it through.
S-Chassis have incredible self steer, R-Chassis are more boaty and require a good planted/stiff suspension set up to achieve the same. It's a very different experience going from small wheel base cars to longer wheel base. I used to drift a little DX Corolla and went to a Nissan Cefiro and holy shit it was like learning to drive all over again.

KAs are closed deck, iron blocks, and .4L of displacement larger than the Sr20. Glad people are finally waking up.

Yes go the NA + T, a little higher compression and lowish boost, the response with the VCT will have it still reliable for lots of seat time.
