Do I have a fake? When I take the silver ring off and lift the mesh part up, the capsule’s floor is screwed on? It doesn’t easily come off like in the video.
That I can't answer. It might simply be a different generation. I have absolutely no idea when mine was made as I bought it used, so I can't say for sure. Neumann will definitely be able to tell you more about yours if you contact them with serial number in hand (for instance, whether that's a proper serial number).
that's an excellent question. I'm having a hard time finding out anything about Apollo so I'm not sure about their policies. in general, though, I'd kind of actually recommend reaching out to Neumann about it. they probably won't fix it for free, but they generally have pretty decent customer service as far as I've heard, they seem to want to keep their stuff running. they might have advice- at worst they'll ask you to ship it to Germany for repair, but they might have someone more local they can recommend.
I'm not sure which rubber you mean, mine may be an earlier revision or something, I can't particularly find it. I'd note, if it helps at all, most of the pieces have little tabs sticking out so it can only assemble one way.
@@jonathanm5202 if you have a soldering Iron and some experience with it, it's theoretically pretty simple. if the disconnect is on the capsule end and not the circuit board end though, it might be a good idea to take it in to someone who repairs such things professionally, as the capsule will be pretty sensitive to heat. overheating that capsule-side tab would do damage.

@@morgaboy01189 okay, thanks man 👍
One of the wires for mine randomly worn off it’s called the sod. I don’t know what to do, should I return it to Apollo or go to a tech store?

I tried removing mine and I couldn’t get the silver ring off. Mine is super tight.
Ahhh that's probably how mine was before the previous owner dropped it and panic-sold it.
