I'M 56 yr old female I've had 3 babies and it wasn't this painful. I've since 3 GASTRO DOCS and they say the same thing they really don't do anything for ADULTS with and if it Abstructs go to the ER. The Symptoms Miserable I'm a very active strong women and all I want to do is lay down and sleep it's stressful because I WANT MY ACTIVE LIFE BACK😢
I had undergone this surgery. After surgery, everything is normal But some portion of my stitches have become infected during operation, which is yet to heal up despite every day dressing since last 8 mths. I do not know when my wound will heal up. Pl advise me. I am a senior citizen, and it is heard that intususception is rare for sr. Citizen.
Is there nothing that can be done for an intersusseption not currently active? Like a recurrent intersusseption? Surely people don’t have to just live like this waiting for attacks? 😢
I have just been diagnosed with this and still have no ides how bad it is, if anyone knows of any support groups please comment below I'm taking this hard ❤
That is a great question and after some research the pathophysiology as to why there is a male predominance is not convincingly clear. Understanding the "why" is always good in medicine but this may be a case where it is not well understood. If any viewers have input, please share! Thank you 🙏🏻
Thanks for watching!
Well done video. Good speech rate, easy to follow slide show, and overall well covered content in intussusception. 10/10
It was helpful! You made it easy to remember the high yield point by highlighting it in red color and summarize it at the end.
