Do you do "no spend" challenges in some way in your home? Let me know below! I know different families do them in different ways, not just with groceries!
Can’t believe you aren’t at 100,000 subs yet. Your channel is so awesome! Great tips, recipes and you’re REAL. So happy for your baby! You guys deserve the best!
I check my fridge every day to make sure we're using up everything before it goes bad. Sometimes I put things in the freezer to use later, or I'll add to the leftovers to make a new meal. Making sure I don't throw away even small bits of leftovers has made the most difference in our shopping budget! So I clean out the fridge and check the pantry the day before I shop so I'm not buying duplicate items and every bit gets used.
Love a pantry challenge. Been doing one all month. Makes me so happy to know I’m not wasting food. The creativity is so fun also. Glad you are feeling better.
You also reminded me I have some tofu and potatoes I need to use. I bought some tortillas so I could batch cook potato/tofu burritos to keep in the freezer. I really want to get use a small deep freeze so we can batch cook and not scramble last minute sometimes to get a meal made.
Whoohoo love this video. My family of five are also doing a no spend challenge so we're working on eating what we already have in our pantry, fridge and freezer.
Another great video! We are doing a no-spend challenge right now for all groceries except produce as well. You always provide meal idea inspiration, I appreciate it!
Those dates are looking like dried saddle bags 😂 When I end up with raisins like that, I have to plump them in hot water if I’m using them in anything but oatmeal. I desperately need to do a use it up week or two, but my winter blues keep me from planning too much. So I’m doing my best. Last thing I made was a super yummy white bean soup. I had a can of coconut milk I didn’t end up using, so I search soup recipes to use it in. It was hard to find one that wasn’t a curry; sorry, not a curry fan, I tried lol Anyhoo, this soup is now my new favorite and I probably wouldn’t hav tried it had I not been trying to use up what I had.
I love these videos. I am trying to learn to use up what i have. Food waste is such a huge problem in the US. This will help to be more mindful in using what i have on hand.
It's been a lot of years and I have mom brain a LOT but didn't you and Joe do a chopped challenge back in the apartment? Did I remember that wrong? So much fun seeing you both in the kitchen.
Can you please link those muffin tins? I need to replace mine but was overwhelmed browsing on Amazon lol, some people said they were too small, bad quality, etc…😂

I do clean out the pantry weeks, but my goal really isn't about saving money, but not wasting food -- which ultimately saves money after all.😂

Any suggestions for an oatmeal substitute in the first recipe?
