Would you recommend getting the mt07-pure this generation, like yours, or wait for the new, redisigned 2025 model?

Watching these motorcycle videos from Asian countries & Europe, it looks like there is more space for motorcycle riders. Here in USA big cities it's kind of taking a chance with a lot of bad drivers. Cars vs. motorcycle is a no-win situation, especially when you are stuck in congestion area.

Here in the USA, some people start as beginners straight on 600 & 1000CC. One of my friends, right after passing the rider course, the same week he bought a Yamaha R6, this was back in 2009. He stalled a couple of times on his way home, but he made it.

@bie604 I started on a MT-09 as my 1st bike and still own it 4 years later. I wouldn’t mind having a MT-10 or something bigger. I think one has to know your skill set and adjust accordingly. Never ride beyond one’s level, especially when it comes to triple digit speeds. If you’re like most people, and ride the majority in the 80 mph zone or under (myself included) than the MT-07 should be just fine. Something to consider, I owned a Honda PCX 150, scooter that hit 70-ish mph. I rode that thing max speed all the frickin’ time in 25 mph zones. I used that scooter to DoorDash and worked on it 14+ hour days, everyday for 2 years. I would fill up the gas tank 3+ times a day. Think bout how much riding experience one can gain under those conditions. I believe that just riding and not have to think bout shift was a big help. As it allowed me to gain valuable ride experience. So when I stepped up to a MT-09 the transition was minimum, bout 2 weeks. I would do 100-140 mph delivery runs on the freeway 5 to 10 times a day, splitting cars all the time. I guess, moral of the story, you wanna be a good rider? DoorDash on a bike and work 10+ hour days.🤣
