    Thank you so much, I've just fixed the cold tap then realised that the hot tap should be better so I did that too!

    Nice one Justin,fortunate it was only needing lubricated,being a time served mechanic and a handyman I've used a lot of WD40 and as far as I'm concerned it's magic,we used to use it years ago to spray on the distributor cap and plug leads to disperse any moisture that may be causing any arcing and preventing the car from starting,thankfully that's not needed nowadays but it was a great cure

      Cheers. Oh yes I remember the days of taking off the distributor cap on my xr2 haha, and a manual choke 😂
      Yeah wd-40 has always been in my life too

      WD-40 will permanently stain the cheap chrome plating that's on many kitchen faucets

    I have new 4 finger taps, which you unscrew the hot of cold case to tighten, the problem is the tap head keeps coming loose and I have to keep tightening the hot tape screw every three days. Can you advise?

    Need a video on how to fix kitchen cabinet doors that stick after being re-painted. I’ve sanded and sanded, and they still stick. Also have had a tough time getting the hinges and pulls to fit right after re-installing.

    WD40 is bad on our rings and washers so if you use it change any you have sprayed, or use the silicone based spray

  • @blutey

    Thanks for that. I have a stiff tap, which looks just like the one you worked on so this video could come in useful. Can I ask, is it safe to use WD 40 to free it up like that? Once applied to the tap, can it get into the water you drink or wash up with?

    • @adderon
      @adderon ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Just use cooking oil

      Professional Plumber advise never use WD40 on tap, it will damage the tap and pollute the water.

    So WD 40 is enough lubrication? No need for any silicone?

    Not a good idea. Use potable silicone grease instead.
