Straight guy here watching this for some reason. I wanted to see a normal video of a lesbian talking about these things to lesbians. It's eye opening. I really feel I had some stupid stereotypes and images in my head. Reading some of these comments made me a bit sad. Because it must be a tough situation when you fall in love with people of the same sex but majority of them are straight. I really hope all of you find awesome partners. I love you. My issue used to be that I considered showing interest in someone something to be ashamed of. Once I realized I pushed myself to show interest in people, no just in a romantic way, now I can talk to so many more people than I would imagined because I no longer feel shame in looking at someone, complimenting them or approaching them.
I'm bisexual and I only came out this year. I feel like I have years of practice with flirting with men but i always feel out of my depth/even pervy with women. I don't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable (because tbh I've experienced unwanted attention from men before and it's not fun) brut at the same time it's frustrating not knowing what to do
When you say unwanted attention, does it mean the comment is pervy? Or does it just simply mean you are not attracted to the men who are attempting to talk to you. I think we need to stop generalizing unwanted attention as pervy comments when in reality it’s just men trying to talk to us we aren’t necessarily attracted to. Every time I have shut down a man politely saying I like women, I only in a few instances have gotten negative responses. Majority the time they respect it and walk away. I think this is why the lesbian community has a hard time flirting in general, they assume it’s all pervy behavior. When no, it’s not wrong to go up to somebody if you are interested, however, I think men should learn how to take signals better when women are not interested but I also think women need to be a little bit more honest and upfront but in a polite manner not in a disrespectful degrading way because that takes a lot of courage to come up to somebody and make conversation when you don’t know if they are also interested. Let’s all just be more aware and respectful and things will be okay.

ignoring the risk of cliche, i will tell you that it gets better. i was there at that age with the same identity fears (but without the religion or cultural pressure tbh...but also without the general societal supports as are available these days) if you feel like you can't handle things, call a GLBT youth helpline, seek out community supports. 12 is not to young to know yourself, and don't put too much pressure on yourself to label who you are. when you are ready, you can tell whoever you want about being bi or gay. it's your journey but that doesn't mean you have to do it alone. best wishes!

There's a key piece here that has nothing to do with flirting or hinting or exclamation points: She's married with 2 kids! Unless she has an open relationship with her partner, that she has directly informed you of, and very clearly explained the boundaries of, you are talking about "going there" with a married woman.
