It seems so, yeah. I had a feeling things would end this way, but that doesn't make it any less unfortunate, especially for the Rooster Teeth employees who were blindsided by the news a few days ago.
I remember watching Volume 7 when it first came out and I found it so...boring. So much so that I more or less stopped properly watching the show. Anything post Volume 7 that I know about is through clips and reviews.
YOU GOT MY HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER HOT TAKE WRONG. Don’t get me wrong, LOVED Barney and Robin as a couple but a lot of fans complaints are about how the last season was all about their wedding but it ends with them getting divorced. My hot take is that actually watching the last season, EVERY episode is about why they shouldn’t get married. Like in no episode do I end it feeling like they will make a happy married couple. Also, everyone is upset about Robin and Ted but I can’t think of a single season where Ted didn’t still love Robin and, honestly, vice versa. Like their whole thing is that their big goals in life couldn’t work together…so I feel like it makes sense that once they accomplish those goals that they would end up together. MY complaint about the last season is the part where it shows how the whole friend group fell apart. Like after all of those seasons where Ted and Robin were on again off again, you’re telling me after one (1) silly little divorce they don’t all stay friends?? Anyways hot take/rant over.
