Dark rosin is generally softer, for example, pirastro Schwartz, which is for steel strings. They are more sticky so lower strings love to use them. On the other hand, light rosin is harder, and more suitable if your area is warmer and humid. Mostly preferred by upper strings. As for strings. Gold plated E strings give the E string a sound with slightly more depth and complexity compared to sheer projection, which can be too loud at times. Synthetic strings just mean that they are made out of synthetic material, have the durability of a steel string and the complexity of a gut string. Stainless steel just means that the string is just winded up normally with steel, but it won’t rust. Round end, or hall end is for most people, and loop end is for the E string when people have hook finetuners. Don’t worry too much though as strings these days most likely have removable balls. 我哋喺學校租借，個松香已經係長方形，但係我拆咗好耐小提琴都拉唔出聲，點算？
弦上有松香粉末才表示松香足夠。如果仍拉不出聲，與力度控制有關。
