  • A lucky outing one Sunday on the Aberdeen Carolina and Western resulted in a rare-mileage run along the eastern side of the Piedmont Line in order to pick up some tank cars out of storage. Thanks for railfanning with me, don't forget to like and subscribe if you enjoyed the video!

    Great catch! I think it's fabulous what Bob Menzy has done with the ACWR. They roll through my little town, Stanfield, and I catch some action at Midland, NC at the ethanol off-load terminal from time to time.

    I just started seeing these beauties here in Charlotte. I love a nice SD40 and that clean livery looks beautiful on them!

    Good stuff! Sometimes those “wing and a prayer” days turn out to be the most memorable. Interestingly enough, the storage cars appeared to be loaded based on the spring compression. Strange to see loaded tankers shoved outside a yard (if they were indeed loads). Maybe space constraints upon their initial arrival?

    • @FloridaRailfan
      @FloridaRailfan  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, sometimes no plan is the best way to go! And funny you should mention, we were wondering the same thing as we noticed the springs also. If they were loads, must not have been anything that would spoil but we couldn’t quite tell for sure…
