Having been to Howler myself, and seen everything it has to offer, it is such a sick riding destination. Max the owner, and everyone there at the park has such an incredible vibe, and even personally helped me out in tough times. Huge thanks to them, and it's cool to see this drop being built.
Dude your videos are so sick. The quality is insane. I was watching your stuff when you were basically screwing 2x4s right on the ground in your backyard, and now you're putting this out. Congrats!
I'm in my 40s, it's awesome to see how MTB has progressed from riding rigid department store bikes down fire roads to 8 year olds riding trails like this!
Here people have the tendency to try and skip the squirrel catcher telling themselves "I bet the trail will be easier than that first feature so I'll be fine"...We still have a lot of work to do to raise awareness
If you fill the first 50 feet with very high perched skinnies you'll get the job done . I've always dreamed of doing just that in my backyard but wife doesn't want to be sued 💀😂
I agree, unfortunately, many trail systems do make the qualifier much harder than anything else on the trail so people have come to expect that everything else will be easier. If builders would consistently set the qualifier at about the same level as the other features then perhaps people will trust it?
Sick drop, but actually looks pretty tame compared to a lot of the other features. When you can preview trails with rad videos like this, there really is no reason to not know what you are getting into. A trail progression matrix goes a long way in informing riders who haven't done their research. Would be great to see more trail networks put those out not just bike parks.
@@elguamo2003 I keep hearing this online, but I've yet to encounter it in real life. I've been to trails in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, and New Mexico, and the squirrel catchers have never been the hardest feature on the trail. Maybe it's a regional thing, where do these crazy-hard squirrel catchers happen?
Adrenaline bike shop is a pillar within the community and those young riders are a testament to dedicated involvement. I'm glad this video highlighted them ripping amazing, new trails!
It's been a while since I've watched on of your videos and have to say, your video quality is WAY better than I remember it being. This stuff is really good looking, and I'm glad you're able to share what you do! Those kids can shred, and from the drone shots, your drone operator looked like he was almost having as much fun as they were!
Wow wow wow! This vid is very impressive. Best one I've seen on you tube, so far. From the drone pilot to the 8yr old are all pros! Great job! to everyone of you. Simply awesome!
“pay for a lot of good music for videos” *Kill EVERYBODY starts playing* Hell yeah you do!! That edit was insane and the riding even more! Those kids are wild!!!
Been a fan for a while now and love how the quality and designs keep getting better every video, this one is top notch! Out of curiosity, around 8:24 you laid full length boards on cut a ton of excess of each side, just seems like a reoccurring theme in your videos that you always have a lot of off cuts and we don’t get to see if these get saved for future projects or sent to the burn barrel. Just seems like using a 8’ piece, you could plan for a 4’ wide layout and have zero waste. No hate at all, just curious!
The thing to keep in mind with squirrel catchers, and skipping them, is that if it's the first thing I come up to and I feel I'm "going in cold" then I'm counting on the trail to ramp up in difficulty as it progresses with some sort of "boss-level" feature or series of features in the third act. (if not that late then at least in the second half of the trail.) I've tried this and been successful... In not sustaining *serious* injuries. Lol ...mostly...😅🤞🏾🤘🏾
Great job on the trail! Growing up I would have loved having access to a trail like this. I'm jealous. My trails were a bit more urban/suburban. 20 some years later and five kids of my own, I couldn't afford possibly getting injured doing this.
I love the build! but it looks like you could have used have the wood for planks by cutting them in half before laying them of the stringers. It would save a lot more wood.
At Duthie Hill Park in Issaquah, WA has a similar feature to the “squirrel catcher.” More people break their collar bones on that feature than any other feature at the park. They also have hoards of 9-13 year olds who can shred-shred.
Wow, that is a Gnarley trail. Nope, not even in my dreams could I ride that! So good for those who've got the skills! I'd love to go there one day, watch all the hitters ride that trail and ride the chicken track
Cool to watch, I'm just a trail rider type myself and was wondering if I should get my 10 year old daughter into it or if she was too young. Guess I got my answer. I'm envious of those kids, what a privilege to be able to get into that at that age! Good for them!
How did you. get into building trails? Did you start with volunteering at your locals or what? Loved watching all the creativity and skills that go into making fun features. Makes me want to get out and do some trail work.
So cool to see rock work on that scale. My favorite part of trail work is fitting all the big rocks together, but I’ve always been limited by what 6 guys can carry with a net.
I kind of miss the days when I used to build rock walls by hand with small boulders. If you get pillars like this right, there's a decent chance that they will always be there. The ground will move a bit, but rock work like that when done properly lasts a very long time.
Omg that song, it's one of my favorites. There's just one slight problem, drops at that height are pretty normal in street riding as well so I'd do that with no hesitation thinking "oh cool fun trail some drops gonna be easy" Except that I have no idea how to do jumps at all and I cannot do the rest of that trail at all. Except for that other drop.
How come the decking is placed so centrally, it seems like trimming the edges at the end creates a lot of waste wood? I love all your work btw, I just have 0 experience, have seen a few different builds doing this, and wondering the reasoning behind this?
Mught be a dumb question. But why not trying an electric planer to make the flat faces instead of the chainsaw? Or for a finishing pass. Its doesnt remove material as quickly, but the finish can be that buch better, producing stronger joints and making it less receptive to dirt and water
Wow! Great building. One thing I don't get: in just about all videos I've seen so far why are the planks always layed on the middle of the construction and cut on both sides instead of laying them so you can use the excess part for another build? Isn't that a waste of wood?
I ran quite a bit of saw, I just gotta appreciate your skills with it. Milling logs by hand with a chainsaw is a massive pain. Do you have a regular mill for all those other boards you had? or were those purchased?
Your channel has inspired me and some friends to build our own system of trails on our own. After a few weeks of building though, I got a bad poison ivy rash. How do you stay protected from urushoil when building trails?
Awesome feature and those kids wow. I'd like to know if we can purchase the plans for your pump track. The holy Grail of plans would be awesome to see closer
You know Seth, I think you have outgrown the name "backyard" trail builds. Can't wait to get to Howler and check out all your work.
Its true, hes a far cry from the 5 foot dirt tables of yesteryear haha
His name is not Seth that’s been peak
I wish I had paid more attention to the details of the feature when we were there! I appreciate your time and effort. beautiful as always!
The music. The craftsmanship. The drone shot!! The MUSTACHE.
19,000/10 video.
And dude is like "...and I pay for good music." That's how you know he's in it to do it right above all else!
The drone control was amazing during the riding.
Benton Drones FTW!

Seth you hit out of the park again. Awesome Trail Awesome Video. So much fun. Thanks for lerting us be part of it.
Bentonville drones killed it !!!
I specifically love the music choices in each and every one of your videos. Can't wait to see the next one!
So sick. Loved this vid and this build from beginning to end.
Great work on the build and the editing for the run through with the kids/teens was amazing! Truly exhilarating
Here people have the tendency to try and skip the squirrel catcher telling themselves "I bet the trail will be easier than that first feature so I'll be fine"...We still have a lot of work to do to raise awareness

the first feature if its a proper squirrel catcher usually is the hardest that's why most will skip it if they do know they can't do it
Sick drop, but actually looks pretty tame compared to a lot of the other features. So damned good! Always love watching your vids!
Yeiwwwww can't wait for this! Would love to see these features in real life.
Great build. Love the craftsmanship. All the riders and the Drone work are superb!!!!!

I really appreciate the extra effort you put in to make the videos special, like the music, always exited to see a new upload!
I love the music choice, the level of craftmanship and how the video is presented to us ;) Masterpiece!
King Giz at the beginning! Love it
Proper impressive work Seth. Drone shots were baller. Kids have no fear!
Kids are unbelievable, but the drone work! Wow! Last minutes are masterpiece. Congratulations.
WOW! Cutlaps sent me and I'm stoked he did, that was a f****** SICK VIDEO!!!!!
Great trail build my man. Love watching you create some sick trails. Keep on building them! :)
Wow wow wow! This vid is very impressive. Best one I've seen on you tube, so far. From the drone pilot to the 8yr old are all pros! Great job! to everyone of you. Simply awesome!
Awesome video! This trail looks sick and those little dudes can shred!
honestly, i really respect the way you promoted the channel and your business. earned yourself a sub
Insane build and I wonder what these kids will be riding in 10-20 years from now! INSANE
Thanks again for another opportunity to help showcase your work/creations!
That was some really impressive drone footage! Good job!
@@cok666joey thanks for watching!
yoooo! insane drone footy, awesome music, incredible build. Solid content!
Gotta tell you man, I love the videos and LOVE the inclusion of Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats music in the past few! Keep up the great work!
Very cool build. Loved the drone work on the video.
Dude that thing is sick! Glad to see to see your still building trails man.
@bentondrones killing it with fpv shot🔥
5:43 "because we're going to lay big fat logs across the whole length of the structure". Ha Ha, ah the inner child in me!
Drone work was exceptional!
I’ve been watching you since your first backyard trail builds and it’s so cool to see how far you’ve got
I immediately recognized the intro song, love king gizzard and the lizard wizard! One of my fav music creators + one of my fav TH-camrs !!!
Awesome video! Loved hearing Matt and Kim!
That drone footage is on another level. Props to the kids crushing it on that trail. Great video!
You've really taken your skills to a whole new level! quite a pro and a long way from your first videos in your backyard.
congrats & kudos!!
What a great video! Excellent quality!! Nice trail build!!
Drone shots were great, are you doing them? Ah just saw it was BentonDrones at the end. Great shots.
Wow! Always amazing creations! Fantastic video! Good to see you again! Woo! 🤘
BIG BOY TINKER-TOYS !!!! I love it. That looked like it was alot of work but, extremely fun, and satisfying to build.
Superb! Thank you, as always, for sharing.
No idea why TH-cam isn't putting this in my subscriptions feed, that's great
Same here, weird
Congrats on a gorgeous trail build. I haven't seen anything else that beautiful in the mountain biking world.
Your wood working skill is next level 🤘

Hell yeah you do!! That edit was insane and the riding even more! Those kids are wild!!!
Amazing work man, congrats. Thanks for sharing!!!
Riding this trail at 8yrs old is crazy
Duuuude, that train turned out so damn awesome!
That dubstep at the end with the ridedown video! Dude epic!
Awesome man, I’ll support by giving you as much engagement as possible!!

why is the soundtrack for this video such heat 🔥
yo that drone driver is real good
#slowclap killer feature, sick music, great FPV pilot...and the kids shredding!
Can we please talk about the skill of the fpv pilot?!?🔥
The thing to keep in mind with squirrel catchers, and skipping them, is that if it's the first thing I come up to and I feel I'm "going in cold" then I'm counting on the trail to ramp up in difficulty as it progresses with some sort of "boss-level" feature or series of features in the third act. Kudos to FPV drone operator 👍
That drone pilot was no slouch.
Great work and an amazing edit of the kids shred the trail. Greetings from europe 🤘
Another sick build! And yea man the Trio Behind Bars crew have been to our trails at the Bogue ;-) and they rip.
I appreciate the music choices for sure! Great vid as usual and ending it went like with Kill Everybody made it even better

The only thing more impressive than those kids riding was the drone work to capture the video. Amazing.

I always do my best to respect a trails gatekeeper 😅 fantastic work!
never thought I'd hear unironic skrillex in current year, but here we are
Drone pilot is the most impressive part of the video
very impressive! great work gentlemen.
Trail looks like fun!
You have come a long way. Great work.
Really interested in building features, this looks awesome!

Trio Behind Bars. The Florida Kids making the state proud :')
I litarally have goose bumpe watching this. love the content, cant wait to ride this trail.
Never seen anybody do drone follow cams like this.
