Beautiful video Peter Just as a side note. It is actually forbidden in Switzerland to camp lower than the treeline (in between trees) as this disrupts wildlife seeking protection between the trees. Please make sure to respect these rules and guidelines in order to protect what you're obviously enjoying. Also there are maps and mobile phone apps to display wildlife habitats which are another area where it is not allowed to camp. Sorry ... not trying to be a smart ares here but just trying to educate other people interested in a similar hike
Hi, sorry because I know this was a while ago, but i was thinking of doing something similar (above the treeline of course) and was wondering if you remembered the name of those apps? It would be great to help my planning. Thanks!
@@realgreywolfe2517 Hey, writing this in case you still need it. I use Swisstopo, the app is made by the swiss government and is super well made. You will find all official (marked red-white-red and blue-white-blue) trails, trail closures, shooting range bulletins, nature reserves and a ton of other useful information. You can also trace routes and save maps for offline use. While it is true that here wild camping below the treeline is not permitted, as long as you are respectful of wildlife, people and nature in general and follow no-trace ethics, no one should bother you. Plenty of swiss people do it on the regular. There is also a vast network of campsites and mountain huts if you wish to usee them. I am not condoning breaking the rules, so use your better judgment according to the situation. Hope this was helpful, enjoy your stay in our beautiful country.
Watched tons of hiking videos and you are by far, with only one video and no comments, the best of anything I’ve ever watched. Thank you so much! I don’t know why there isn’t much more but for any reasons, thank you!!!! ❤❤❤
Amazing content Peter. You have shared the perfect video and the perfect itinerary of an ideal trip to detoxify the fast paced life into a calming connection with nature and your Self. Keep making content like this, I'm pretty sure there are many like you who feel at home in nature. As for myself, I've felt the urge, after watching this video, to go hike in the forest till i feel myself again. I'll be looking forward to follow this itinerary, hopefully in coming years. Again, thanks for sharing this ♥️
Gorgeous views, Peter, thanks for sharing this beautiful silent video (sharing also your hiking gear is a very nice idea).I hiked from Vaduz to Lauterbrunnen last August and will accomplish part 2 this September. I am so excited that within a couple of weeks I can see this magnif icent landscape again!
Stunning natural scenery... The forest is still quite well preserved... The flow of the river that brings peace... Very memorable hiking and camping...
I love your video! I have done several hikes like this one, and there is something very special in the silence and the focus on the path that I find only in long solo hikes. You convey that feeling very well,!
Hello :) I hiked via Alpina in June 2020 from Sargans to Kandersteg and I am heading to Montreux in 3 months to hike from Montreux to Meiringen to finish the trail and a little bit more :) Your video is great and gave me a good impression of what to expect on my hike. Thank you for sharing. I wish you the best
Really wonderful video love them all. Cant imagine how you would survive that one alone. But that would take huge courage to do alone. Thumps up from other side world Malaysia ❤
I have seen many vedios of hikers but none is like this one, I loved the way you focused on the sceneries and landscapes than pointing the camera to your face, you really drove me with those distancing sight and beauty, also the background music is suiting perfectly That nature. Can tell the music source? Switzerland is heaven on earth.
Hello Peter ! I did bits of Via Alpina in my time like Mürren to Kandersteg last year, Gstaad to l'Etivaz this month for instance plus other bits in past years, and I really want to congratulate you on the brilliant editing of your video which really conveys the extraordinary sensations one can have doing such a beautiful tour - wishing you many other great adventures ! take care now
I am lost for words! Such a phenomenal video full of magnificent views, beautifully recorded and put together. It really made me feel so calm and just appreciate the beauty of our planet. Thank you for that.
such a wonderfull adventure you had! Can you please share with us, how to find place to wild camping? as i know, Switzerland is quite strict about wild camping. Thank you for making this video!!
Hi Peter, what a wonderful video!! Thank you! I really enjoyed it. I'm happy to have found your channel, I like hiking and videography as well. Your video is inspiring. Very high quality. I just ordered my Sony full frame as well, can't wait to go out an shoot videos with it. Hello from the Swiss mountains
Hi Schwendi, Thanks for your reaction and for subscribing to my channel! Good luck with your new Sony camera. And BTW you live in a stunningly beautiful country!🙌🏻 I hope to come back there soon.
@@peterkisteman Hi Peter, thank you, I'm sure I'll have fun with the Sony...Yes, I really love my country, I'm happy to live here. But you Dutch guys are cool people as well :). I hope you can come back soon. Have a wonderful week!

Can I expect more videos like this in the future ? I absolutely loved it. I can never experience this as I am from 3rd world country and maybe I don't have to. I can just watch your videos. Keep rocking stranger
Awesome, very cool documentation. Please allow one criticism: it's not cool to light a fire when you're not in a survival situation. Each new fireplace destroys the vegetation and the soil for years. At least you shouldn't have shown it in the video because that's how you motivate others to do the same.
Woow loved the video, perfect background music, editing and color grading. What gear you use to shoot these kinda videos? And which month of year you did this hike? Thanks ❤
Thanks! All shots are in 4K 25fps (except GoPro footage, 4K 60fps). Picture profile that I'm using is PP1, Cine 4 (+ color correction in post production).
Great video and scenery 👍, I am thinking to hike as well but currious that is it possible to start to hike from montroex? Basically reverse path is followed possible?
Beautiful video Peter 👍🏼 really miss being in Switzerland. The hiking there looks really epic and hope to visit again soon to take in some more of this scenery! Best wishes, Will

No one cares man, how does this disturb the wildlife? Humans are also animals after all
Yes, he may be ruining it for the rest of us. I hope he will educate himself before he visits the next time.
