I did get to see the tacoma trail hunter and it looks nice but waiting to have that for the week to make my judgment on it. I got to review the previous Tacoma TRD Pro and there was a lot of things that needed improvements but i somehow still wanted one lol. The ZR2 is awesome and you'll definitely love it. I do love the Canyon front a little more but the premium pricing has me looking back at the ZR2.
Thinking about this truck. First thing to go though is the running boards. I’m a bit taller and would occasionally off-road this so I don’t want those getting ripped off by accident
HI My canyon is not consistently charging my phone as well. DO you know how to lower the brightness of the display for night driving? It is tooo bright!!
It's in the screen... NO buttons for that, on the dash or steering wheel... Lot of buttons missing and those things are in the screen... Stupid, I think... Go thru couple different modes
@Revmatchmedia AT4. Not AT4X. The interior on the X is a big no-go for me, along with the price. If you're looking at top-tier off road, yes. The ZR2 is the choice.
@ashleymalone5396 ah that’s right, I forgot the X is the one with the white interior. I’d still go ZR2 cause of the lower price even though the Canyon front does look better
I took the X over all of them, inc the Chevys, & inc this one, for several reasons, & particularly for that red/black/white interior. Underbody cameras, red belts, sunroof, black badges & exh tip. :) Denali is ok too. & ZR2. To some extent, they're all ok. It is all subjective opinion too, of course. Individual, inc not liking them.
Congrats on the X. There’s definitely a trim for everyone. I’m surprised you were able to get one with the underbody camera. I’ve been asking other journalists that got Colorado/canyons to review if there’s had them and no one has. Since we have a few unpaved roads in my area, the zr2 would be the way for us to go. Bison would be nice but having to have the spare in the bed makes Home Depot and ikea runs a bit more difficult
@@Revmatchmedia Thanks & like you say a seat for every, which is nice. ZR2 is very nice. I'd ordered a Volcanic red but it wasn't coming & we just got lucky w/the one we got, it is worktruck white, but the Obsidian Rush kinda goes w/it so there's that. & yeah w/the underbody cams, if not those we'd not bought. It was a must-have for us. Also sunroof. Good luck w/your search, keep watching, one should appear.
Theres too much copy and pasting on this trim. Running boards, folding mirrors, back window, steering wheel on a trim like this should be powered. Also black chrome like in other denalis would have been a cool upgrade option on a custom order.I kind of like the elevation more just for the black wheels and grill too, also badging is black as an option, might be a better deal, just add in some after market katzkin seats or the faux leather upgraded seats.
I totally understand specially with the Denali being the “luxury” trim. It might be due to the fact that the hood barely opens so I wonder if that’s why it’s the rod.
Gracias!
I agree, I want the ZR2. I’m waiting for the 2024 to come out plus the 2024 Tacoma will be out hopefully by then. Great video brother.

I hear ya, I am waiting to see the new 2025 Tacoma to come out. From what I see it looks pretty darn cool.

I agree, I am changing them too, first thing. I found a better pair on Amazon. Not shiny and not hanging so low.
At that price point, I’d expect a power rear slider.
You and a lot of people. Probably one of the most requested things for Colorado/Canyons

I don’t remember where it was on the canyon. I want to say it’s something in the steering wheel/gauge cluster. Maybe check the manual.
ok thanks will do! For now I just cover it when driving at night! LOL Otherwise LOVE my Canyon! @@Revmatchmedia
It's in the screen... All of your lighting is in the screen.... STUPID!!!!!

No self power automatically closing tailgate?
Unfortunately no but the tailgate is actually pretty light.
You do realize there is a manual gear slecter on the side of the shifter, its a togle button that allows you to select the gear you want.
It doesn’t let you toggle the specific gear you want, it limits the range of gears to use.
If you want off road in this truck, buy the AT4. Amenities are almost identical. Just less "shiny" and cheaper.
I agree. I just dont know if i can do the AT4's white interior and higher cost compared to the Colorado's ZR2.

NO HYDRALIC HOOD STRUTS, YOU HAVE AHOOD ROD FOR $50 THOU. PLUS.... WOW--- CHEAP!!!!
And no folding mirrors for a DENALI.... CHEAP
