Kenwood L-05M Failure - Issues With Buying Audio Gear Second Hand on eBay

This is a very common occurrence when purchasing audio gear second hand, especially through eBay when you aren’t able to inspect said equipment. Relying on sellers to provide accurate descriptions can be a game of Russian roulette, especially when the sellers aren’t aware of issues themselves, such as the case with these L-05M’s. The seller ended up being an honest person and fully refunded the client without question. Sometimes you won’t get so lucky.
Also shown is a common issue with Kenwood L-05M’s which oscillate, caused by a loose amplifier ground connection.

Would love to see a pair of these fully restored as well as the L-07c. I just recapped my new to me from eBay L-05m and they are sounding so nice! No previous work had been done or needed. Waiting for rain and short days to do the Preamplifier. Appreciate learning from your videos.
