As a professionally qualified careers adviser I think this video is so good that I'll be sharing with my students! Keep on making these, fantastic work.
@@mosesigiehon8571 Hi there - it depends which country you live in as to how you qualify. In the UK, you can do it via a Uni course (postgraduate diploma) or through an apprenticeship. Overseas, you can qualify as a 'College Counselor' by completing an online course through UCLA (University of California Los Angeles). This will then allow you to work worldwide.
Thank you for making this video! It really helped on clarifying topics that I was unsure of, while simultaneously adding more questions to what I should be asking when looking for programs. I am currently in Uni in the US and I am interested in doing Msc in sports psychology in the UK. I would love the opportunity to connect and ask further questions.
Thank you so much!! You have no idea how helpful this was for me. I'm currently doing A-levels and knew I wanted to do sport psychology but didn't quite know everything it involved and how to become a sport psychologist- now I know! Have you ever lost motivation at any point during all of the training and everything or have you found it really interesting and exciting for the whole journey? Thanks again!!
You are so welcome, I’m glad it helped you better understand the journey of becoming a sport psych in the UK! So far I have always found it really interesting and exciting; I think partly because I’m so passionate about the subject but also because I have made sure to always try different things, work in different sports, look at different research areas for each module or assignment when I was at uni. The field is so big it’s hard to get bored if it’s what you’re interested in! The only thing in my experience I have had to watch out for is burnout because I’ve been wanting to do so much 😅 if you have any other questions or if you would like to see any specific videos just let me know and I’d be more than happy to help out!
@@harriettetaylorrr I can definitely attempt one yes! I will have to figure out how to film it so I keep the confidentiality of everyone but I will do a day in the life video soon for you!
Thank you for sharing about this! It was very easy to understand. Im wondering of you know the difference in the process if im not from the UK, I studied my degree in mexico and my máster in spain. Do you know if someone like me can certificate in QSEP or SEPAR?
I'm joining Loughborough Uni in September for my Msc in Sport and Exercise Psychology. I would love to connect with you and discuss more about Sports Psychology and QSEP. Best wishes for your qualification! 🥰
Thanks for making this video! I'm doing my Stage 1 currently at University of Portsmouth. I want to know what the exact syllabus/content of the SEPAR is (how many research projects do you have to do, etc.) as I'm planning to do that. I image you wouldn't be able to comment on that as you are doing the QSEP, so could you please connect me with colleagues who are doing SEPAR?
Heyy found this video very helpful. I wanna be a clinical sports psychologist and for that I have already started my masters in clinical psychology(in India)and I'm planning to do my psyd in sports psychology abroad. Do you think this will help me in becoming a clinical sports psychologist?
I'm in my junior year of undergrad and have been having a lot of imposter syndrome about whether or not I'll be good at sport psychology. I am passionate about it, but you could talk a little bit about what you've learned and how you've learned to actually be a sport psychologist?
hi Olivia, absolutely! I'm currently filming some days in the life of a trainee sport psych where I touch lightly on those topics but I can make a sit down video as well if that would be helpful :) the days in the life should be up this Saturday! thank you for watching and leaving a comment 😊 x
I'm doing msc sports psychology in India, I have finished it, I have no idea what to do next, this was a subject I took with a lot of desire, but now I'm thinking whether I will be able to work in this field, sports and exercise psychology 1 year in UK I'm thinking of taking the course, would it be worth it? can you get a job in that field? The biggest problem I'm facing right now is communication problem. I'm trying to overcame it. Do you know a good university for Msc sports psychology exercise psychology in UK? I found all your vedios helpful. thankuu🖤
