Exactly, Mexico is a beautiful country, you just have to be careful and be smart. One time a German friend visited my country and wanted to reach a city in the jungle via a little boat by river. I told him to not be stupid and take a plane like everyone else does. Glad he listened to me.
I was told never get in anyone's car if they're trying to kidnap you. Even if they have a gun, getting killed there would be better then anything they could do do you when they have taken you away.
Honestly 2 of these seemed entirely avoidable. The hippo one and the two guys in Mexico. 1) why would you canoe in hippo infested water. 2) why would you just drive off into a country your not familiar with at all without a guide.
Exactly! I don't feel sorry for anyone who willingly pays to invade wild animals' natural habitats. Darwin would personally hand them his award if he was alive today.
NGL, the two guys venturing Mexico got real super lucky, especially since the group looks like a band of mercenaries trying to defend villages from cartels. Hopefully they to learn to always have a tour guide to help them venture out in dangerous regions where threat is active, especially since cartels roam all over Mexico and they’ll give no mercy to anyone trespassing their territory or passing by them.
To add more stress to the situation, when they were told to turn around and leave, the guy driving didn't follow direction and stepped out of the car instead acting hysterically. Luckily, that clumsy move didn't have any consequences.
The fact that lady still went to see the show instead of calling the cops or going to the hospital really shows how strong of a person she is. Plus full force to her face OUCH

Americans who don't know what they're doing and feel too comfortable, thats who. The world is not your selfie playground. You're deep in the bush on a lake full of Wild animals that can very easily kill you.
Yeah no way would I get in a canoe on a river in any country in Africa. I went to Tanzania in 2015 and we stayed in our landrover safari car most of the time. Anytime we got off the guides had guns to shoot any potential threats (wildlife), and the one night we ate “in the bush” we had numerous armed guards on duty in case an animal did try to approach or attack someone. Thankfully it was uneventful but I wouldn’t even take that unnecessary risk.
Looking like a tourist in NYC is a big mistake. Going Mexico, freelancing, is a big mistake. With these animals in their natural habitats, just stay out.
I used to work in Hollywood and remember seeing a random homeless man punch an old lady who was just sight seeing, remember seeing sirens during lunch because a man refused to give a homeless man money. As a result he stabbed the tourist man the throat. I also remember getting cornered by a homeless and a coworker seeing and running to me to take me inside. All these incidents as well as many move we’ve seen all happen in broad day light while there’s tons of people around. There’s so many people on drugs over there. I’m glad I don’t work in that area anymore.

I feel so bad for her. Glad she’s ok Moral of the story don’t go in animals habitat or even Mexico without permission or with someone who understands the place.
My sister went there and she had a great time but only scary thing she saw was guys in a truck with guns, looked like a cartel but she was near a town or city. I want to go but seeing the couple get kidnapped and the one lady possibly raped and the man possibly got killed, makes me say no. But with the guys going bird watching, they got lucky and not everyone will be. I'm now thinking I don't want to go.
You guys can possibly atleast go to a border town in Mexico to atleast get a grip of the life and culture over there. I live in a Border town in Texas called Del Rio, It's near the city of Uvalde. I've only been around twice to the opposite border town, but when you cross that border from the U.S. to Mexico, there is a HUGE difference in the land, and the way the city looks compared to my home town. If there's two things I gotta love about Mexico, It's their food and Culture. And you can experience that just across the border. I wouldn't dare go farther into Mexico due to the cartels.
@@oliviac2585 I agree with you! When you go on a safari, then you already know about them. But situations happen. And none of these videos suggest that the people in them didn't know about the animals. It just shows situations that happened.
My family and I did a safari in South Africa when I was young. Our guide stopped the Jeep about 30 yards from an elephant that was pushing a tree down. The elephant suddenly turned toward us and began flapping his ears and stomping. The guide threw the Jeep in reverse and prepared to flee in case the elephant charged. He did. I was impressed at how well the guide was able to drive backwards. The elephant got within about 10 yards of us and stayed that close for a minute or so before finally retreating. It was a bit scary, but really neat. We did encounter some lions chilling, but they showed no interest in us.

@@SA-de4lc I wasn't sure what to expect when we went, but I'll tell ya, seeing animals like that in their natural habitat is pretty exciting. There's just something so different about it. We also went on a night safari and encountered a cheetah that had dragged an Impala up into a tree and was eating it. There were hyenas circling the base of the tree waiting for scraps to fall. Just the raw, unbridled power of nature is so much more powerful than seeing caged animals with handlers. I'd never walk the safaris alone, but when you're in a vehicle with an armed guide it's not so scary.
Cheetahs aren't even aggressive towards humans; they jump in people's jeeps all the time for pictures :) They're actually super sweet cats, and unless it's starving there's no shot.
That couple who were kidnapped made the one mistake that you should never do. Never allow someone to drive you to a separate location. Fight back, even if they have a gun or drive away as fast as you can.
You do realise they had guns to they're heads you don't draw from the drop let alone attack from the drop they would have all just shot them then and they're it's not like they can attack 5 guys with guns to they're head don't spread false information in certain circumstances... yes what you partially said is true don't allow to be driven to a second location 100% facts but the part with they should have fought back NO! they had 5 people and guns drawn at them If they fought back they probably wouldn't have been here today.. if everyone wants to learn protection and is shown cctv or videos of all sorts of real attacks there's a channel called active self protection he shows you real sometimes hard to watch videos but tells you how to survive them or try to get the best outcome from a robbery or an attack etc. Always assume the worst about everyone in the back or your mind

I'm sorry that you had to experience that.... not to diminish what you had to go through but I've recently had to also go through an experience that could have cost me my life and it upset me even more that my own mother didn't seem to care so I totally understand how that can make you feel extremely alone. Like, okay, but what do you suggest? Other than a gun? Not everyone is willing to carry one. Or is it legal for everyone to carry one- I know it sounds incredible, but yeah.
The white truck could've been cartel or could be civilians protecting their home from cartel. Either way, the guy driving was smart in not driving off that would've been instant death.
there was no way that man would have gotten attacked by a cheetah there have never been any medical records of a human being attacked or injured by a cheetah
That’s NYC. Upstate NY is completely different. Granted if you live in the big cities like Buffalo, Syracuse, Rochester ect. You’ll get big city problems but the country side of NY is beautiful and very safe.
Correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t cheetahs not pretty much the weakest out of all in the savanna since all they have is their speed. In comparison to a hippo I rather have those cats around me than a tank on 4 legs.
The guys in Mexico I’m going to assume they were probably a group of good men trying to protect their families and community. If they were actually apart of a cartel or whatever group they would not have let them go the way they did. Plus they didn’t ask for anything and warned them not to go any further. They also didn’t sound aggressive once they figured out the guys weren’t there for anything other than to take pictures.
Tips for going to vacation in Mexico: 1- don’t wear anything that’s designer, if you look rich you’re more likely to be targeted. (Especially if you’re out and about on the town alone!) 2- Don’t use public restrooms 3-Don’t only speak English. Take some lessons on duolingo if you have to
Moral of the story; Keep your adventurous behind at home but if you must travel anywhere, do your HOMEWORK thoroughly! It’s also VERY wise to hire a local tour guide. Yes some might be expensive but totally worth it for your life’s sake. Basically, use common sense!
That's awful , what happened to the elderly lady . I can't believe her daughters left her behind knowing this idiot was harassing them. They should've stopped and gone into a restaurant or a shop and called police.
When I went to NY, I went walking the streets by myself! Never again, I got swarmed by a mob of people dressed as Disney characters. They forcefully asked me to take pictures and then demanded money. So scary.
Not just NYC same situation in LA Walk of fame. My friend was harassed when he took a picture of the el capitan theater and it just happened that one of those masked fools walked by. He made a big deal that my friend took a pic of him and harassed him to pay up.
My Aunt went on a vacation in the Bahamas. Went on a beach, got her entire right leg stuck in the sand, fell sideways, and broke her bone. Got flown over to a big hospital, stayed there for a week, and then went back here in California. A month later, the pandemic happened. 😅🤦🏻♀️
