- Today we are going to look over the currency of Hallownest, and the dark secrets it may have been hiding all this time. But before we get to any theories I want to warn you, the things I’ve discovered while researching this video were troubling, to say the least… if you enjoy this dive into the woes of this once great kingdom, make sure to like the video. Now let us dive into the tragedy that is Geo and how it came to be the currency of Hallownest.

i don't really see PK having a use for geo, as powerful as he is he could probably just get whatever he wanted. also your pronunciation of hallownest causes me physical pain
Totally agree! Like I said, there are other theories that hold up a little bit better. Just an interesting take I haven't heard before.
So funny story: I actually had recorded the entire video with the correct pronunciation, but the audio didn't sound great. Recorded and forgot to pronounce it correctly. Biggest blunder of my Hollow Knight career. Love this game!
This is an okay theory! However, there were some things I noticed:
The geo description doesn’t just say it’s from dead bugs, but specifically fossilized remains. This Implies that killing bugs in the present would not be a good way to make more geo.
The traitor lord is not a one in the colloseum throne, rather that is the lord fool. The traitor lord is a the boss found at the end of the queens gardens, the leader of a rogue tribe of mantises that moved away from the mantis village after embracing the infection.
The start of the infection is actually the other way around: the Hollow Knight, or Pure vessel, was actually not fully empty, unknown to the pale king. The radiance was able to corrupt the hollow knight and continue its spread.
Most theories for games and films in general go by a certain method, which comes down to four steps; Come up with theory, then find evidence for the theory, then look for evidence against it, and then figure out what is valid. Often if there is insufficient evidence for a theory, or significant evidence against it, the theory is considered invalid or kept in the back of the mind but not often considered, incase more evidence for it arrives. In my opinion, this theory lacks the evidence it would require to be considers. There isn’t much to suggest a partner ship between the Lord Fool and the Pale King, or that he would need to force people to follow his rule with threats of violence. As another commenter said, there isn’t even really evidence to determine that there would be any sort of geo shortage.
With all that said, you have earned a like and sub from me as I do see room for you to grow in this community and make some amazing theories.
TLDR; There are a few flaws in this theory that should be addressed in future theories, so that they can be the best they can be.
I'm pretty sure that geo are just fossils from the time before the kings' arrival. Which is limited so that's what makes it an effective form of currency
That's an... interesting take at the lore, but honestly there's a million holes we can poke at this theory. There's no proof PK had any association with the Colosseum. Also the connection with hilter-
That's how monarchies work? Just because a kingdom has a miliary and a ruler doesn't mean it's committing the holocaust of bugs. Sure there's definitely mass murder/cannibalism and maybe a genocide of bugs in the city of tears(soul sanctum+tower of love), there's again no evidence that the PK was involved with any of this. In fact Soul Tyrant even says after he's defeated that the king shunned him and his practice.
It's actually heavily implied that bugs willingly joined hallownest as the pale king's beacon expanded the minds of the bugs and granted them freedom from their savage selves. Is PK a bad father? Yes. But there's no suggestion that he was a bad ruler (other than building that stupid tramway to the resting grounds i fucking hate that thing).
I also did not understand how any of this is related to geo. Maybe I zoned out in the middle or something but I could make no corelation to geo, wyrm's reincarnation and pk being Hitler for some reason.
Don't take this as in insult, your video was created greatly. If you had the info right it would've been greatly educational and your style was nice. I'd recommend taking better care of the audio in your content as great audio is the key to success. I hope to see more theories out of you, even if they're factually completely wrong(THIS IS A JOKE).

Hey man the audio is really choppy. I recommend recording in small sections so that it's easy to re-record if you mess up. Talking slowly is a good option too.
