Kelly, You were a true friend.. I will always hold all that laughter in me ... Famous or not you were a prince... We are going to miss you in Raleigh.. I am glad we have these recordings to remember you by... This is a Killer song.... This is real rock and roll... it doens't get any better..... RIP brother....
We had the good fortune to open for Cry of Love in '91 in NC. Not only an amazing band musically, but fantastic guys as well. True professionals in every sense of the word. Miss you Kelly
RIP Kelly Holland. . One of the best vocalists to ever grace our presence. Wilmington, NC Is mourning as is the entire Rock World is over such a tragic loss.. Forever in our hearts u will be till we meet again. ROCK IN PEACE BRO!.. ONE LOVE♥
+Kissa Jade these guys are unbelievable they sound completely blows me away kelly holland vocals one of the best i ever heard finding out that he passed away not to long ago last YEAR really rocked my world R.I.P. +michael amaral Well said! He was not only one of the greatest vocalists to ever exist but a home boy to me... Wilmington, NC...in the MAD MONK days 😉 As was Kevin "Cuz" Davis & too many other insanely gifted rockers.. They may be gone til we meet again but the gift they so humbly left, of true talent & Art will Forever keeping them very much Alive and Strong for eternity in the hearts of their FFFs❤.. friends, family and fans! 😆👍As always, Peace and One Love ♥ y'all! 🎵
The album, Brother, Rocks! There's No skipping tunes on this one! Every song is great! I LOVE these guys. I was sure they were going to hit the BIGTIME!
One of my all time favourites! I'm on my 3rd copy of this CD and I feel like I should get a couple more JIC. Too sad one of the best rock vocalists left too early. RIP Kelly Holland.
Great band. Saw them play a local club here in the upstate of SC when the debut record came out. They played it like they were in an arena and just killed it. Such a killer live act and the album smokes!
Loved “Peace pipe” but this should’ve definitely been their debut single. These guys were killer!! Way under the radar!! I burnt three CD players up playing this album over and over. Lol! 🤘
This is so good, so classic. Kelly was a legend in the making. :( He did leave us with a great record, and some nice live stuff. Audley is the Diamonds in the debris of life, I truly love his sound. I wish he would do a 3rd release, the time is now.
I've had this cd since its release and I still love it. The second cd is great too. These guys, to put it simply, "CLICKED." I love the style--they remind me of my favorite band of all time Grand Funk!
Sure wished they'd have kept keeping on as a band. Loved seeing your first lineup play live, both albums are great music. Essential listening. Viva Cry of Love!
Yep; great band.........I sold their bass player,Robert an old Ampeg SVT bass head, and their original singer, Kelly used to be in a band in my area, called "The Strip"....(Asheville,NC)
In the late 70s I saw Jason play in Raleigh at a club called the Silver Bullet. The name of the band he was in was called Thrush. They kicked ass . He was in his early 20s. I am a drummer and I thought I could play until I saw this guy. He is as nice a person as he is great as a Drummer. Not many lead with there left hand and hold the stick that way.
I'm way excited to see that people are still interested in these guys. This is one of the most over-looked bands ever. I want to see a reunion in a bad way! Better make it to Texas, damn it!
One of my favorite bands. Kelly had one of the best voices during that era. Audley freed was mesmerizing. And the tightness of the band from extensive dues paying. Damn sad kelly
Brilliant......they really should have been massive..the Brother album is superb...great vocals and fantastic guitar playing. One of the very best bands never to make it !!!!
@RandRdriver CANT AGREE MORE; HEARD THIS ON LATE NIGHT TV, BEIN AN INSOMNIAC DOES HAVE ITS PLUS POINTS!!; ABSOLUTELY AWESOME ALBUM, I NEVER DID SKIP A TRACK, EVER!!
One of the great musical blunders of all time, this side of the late great Ronnie Montrose, when he fired Sammy Hagar after Montroses 2nd album, "Paper Money", that Audley Freed would fire Kelly Holland following their 94 Monsters of Rock performance. I've read that Kelly wasn't always the easiest person to deal with and his prodigious drinking would eventually kill him. But with the exception of maybe Dave Grohl, lightning strikes only once in the music industry. And with Kelly's voice, that insanely incredible voice, man, I don't care what ya gotta do, get committed in rehab for 6 months, take the whole band to a shrink if it takes that to work through the problems. But you keep that band together, egos be damned. I'm glad Freed has found work through The Black Crowes and now with Sheryl Crowes band, but he had a one in a million combination of his guitar and THAT VOICE to write with and perform with, and the rest of the band was great too. Ronnie Montrose never achieved the success of the original Montrose band after firing Hagar and replacing him with Bob James. And Cry of Love fell apart after one album with Kelly's replacement. Sometimes ya gotta check the ego at the door. Ronnie Montrose found that out. So did Freed.
+TheStones1965 Ya, they should have started giving Mick Taylor some songwriting credits. The stones were at their peak during Mick Taylor's tenure with them. The Stones last good album was Tattoo You. Last great album was Exile on Main Street.
It's a funny thing. One of the most epic bass lines I remember hearing played on a rock song, and they only lock the camera on the bassist at the end of the tune when he starts singing the backing vocals. It's a hard world for bass players, especially in the 90ties bro, gotta tell ya...
@Jimiimij Damn did you say barefoot servant man im friends with all those guys, they all used to live together at a place called "The Big House" and have parties seemed like every weekend. TobyLogan was like a guitar God to me back in 191987 when i first started playing...yeah they rocked and could do Rush covers note for note, thanks for the memories bro
great album... the second one had nowhere the feel of the first... everything about this band is great.... shame the original lineup didn't last... not a weak track on it... great band! Their "magic"(the band chemistry) is addictive I have 3 copies of the first... I tend to abuse my cd's...lol.. thankfully I could store one of them on my pc

Yeah their album "Brother" is a rock masterpiece! I've listened to it regularly since it came out!!
We had the good fortune to open for Cry of Love in '91 in NC. Not only an amazing band musically, but fantastic guys as well. True professionals in every sense of the word. Miss you Kelly

Didn't know he died. That really sucks. Would have love to see these guys get together again.
The album, Brother, Rocks! There's No skipping tunes on this one! Every song is great!
I LOVE these guys. I was sure they were going to hit the BIGTIME!
Cry of Love was one of the best bands to never blow up. Man these guys were amazing.
Seen these guys back in 1994 in a bar in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I feel so lucky to have witnessed them live. One of the most underated bands of the time.
Best thing I ever got from Pandora radio was finding out about these guys. ☝🏻🙌🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
One of my favorite bands of all time... RIP Kelly... your voice lives on
Cry of love was to badass. Better then every band on the radio today. Southern rock at its finest
One of my all time favourites! I'm on my 3rd copy of this CD and I feel like I should get a couple more JIC. Too sad one of the best rock vocalists left too early.
RIP Kelly Holland.
damn!!! all time classic!!! up there with all the greats!!! Zep, Cream, Aerosmith, etc...wow, this is the real deal!
i grew up listening to Cry of Love. and now i only wish they were still around. absolutely love this incredible band.
Great band. Saw them play a local club here in the upstate of SC when the debut record came out. They played it like they were in an arena and just killed it. Such a killer live act and the album smokes!
RIP Kelly Holland. The best singing drummer I ever had the pleasure of listening to with Crush, the only band I went to see over and over in Raleigh.
I will remember times opening for this band in NC...true gentlemen and obviously superior musicians. Kelly, I miss you, my brother.
Loved “Peace pipe” but this should’ve definitely been their debut single. These guys were killer!! Way under the radar!! I burnt three CD players up playing this album over and over. Lol! 🤘
Thanks for the upload!!! Perfect vocals!

Man oh man, waaaaaaat a fuckin band, they would blow the shit out of anything nowadays... seriously, and i'm only 27... just awesome!
I've had this cd since its release and I still love it. The second cd is great too. These guys, to put it simply, "CLICKED." I love the style--they remind me of my favorite band of all time Grand Funk!
May she rest in peace thanks for sharing your talent with us.

@RandRdriver CANT AGREE MORE; HEARD THIS ON LATE NIGHT TV, BEIN AN INSOMNIAC DOES HAVE ITS PLUS POINTS!!; ABSOLUTELY AWESOME ALBUM, I NEVER DID SKIP A TRACK, EVER!!
How awesome is this?
i love them.
Sorry to hear he passed , very good band loved EM!
Dam, the really good ones go to soon.
Scores very high up my list of most underrated bands of all time. In fact Cry of Love is number one.

I think the Stones took this advice.

+Kenneth Norris Saw them last summer in Quebec City. All Down the Line made the set.
+Kenneth Norris You're right! Make it work no matter what if major success hits.
+Kenneth Norris Mick needs Keith, Steven needs Joe, Noel needs Liam.
💜
@flyvibe71 I agree..one of my favorite bands!!
still love youlls music Running Doe

❤Audley
It`s from Monsters Of Rock, Donnington Park in England, 1994.

If you like this band you should check out the self-titled Lynch Mob album. Robert Mason sang on that one too. (I think that's the singers name?)
That's Kelly Holland on this...Robert Mason is great too..
Two albuns to eternity
This performance is one of those that are almost identical to the record. That's not an easy thing to do!
I would really be interested to know how Jason learned to play: traditional right hand grip on a right handed kit, but I'd bet he is left handed
R.I.P Kelly Holland
Kelly hasn’t left us.
I meant he sorry have a great day
