Kelly and Audley never ceased to amaze me, wow! I only regret that I never got to see them live, I never got introduced to the “Brother” album until the early 2000’s
Probably the greatest remake of a song I have ever heard. We simply did not get treated to enough material from this band. Audley was a genius, and he surrounded himself with other great musicians.
Never thought I'd be hearing a cover of this song that was every bit as good as the original. One of my all-time favorite songs, and most people have never heard of it. I saw Skynyrd in June 76 and only knew their songs that were played on the radio. I had no idea what to expect and was absolutely blown away by them. And this sounds every bit as good as when they played it. I remember hearing Cry of Love on the radio back in the early 90's, and I was amazed that there was a new band playing 'old fashioned' rock and roll. The Black Crows were too. After all that 80's crap (sorry, just my opinion - there was some good stuff but for the most part...), I loved a lot of the 90's stuff and there was some great rock and roll, but those two bands were throwbacks. Just straight ahead rock.
Now, Gary dead I hear this one from my favorite southern band. RIP Gary. I forgot this one was made. Southern boogie was still alive with COL and Raging Slab. Is it all gone now?
@@bobclapper2672 unfortunately note. The 2 bootlegs I have are radio broadcasts/soundboard so are quite good quality. They were an amazing band who deserved more recognition......
@@richardfrost2297 I agree , I keep going back to them , love that band . I just wish I could Find more music from them . Too bad someone doesn’t put out a cd of the concerts

I was the same........so glad I found this bootleg....such a great band.
@ - right on man, right on 🤙🏻
One of my favorite / awesome
Incredible. How does Audley work this magic as the only guitarist on a cover for a band who had three?
He's an amazing player.
Kelly Holland played some rhythm guitar on a few songs. This is an excellent cover. Great live band.
Bad fucking ass!! They nailed it!!

Wow! Knocked it out the park! Stunning!
One of my fave bands, singing one my fave songs.. This is lit..
The cadence of this song is EVERYTHING and without it being dialed in perfectly it doesn't fly, NICE JOB Fellas!
Wow!! This is awesome!!
Amazing. Recently discovered these guys. Missed em back in day. Damn. Turn it up and get there music.
One of the great "lost bands" who should've been a lot bigger. Just two studio albums and some bootlegs, but they're all worth seeking out.
@@richardfrost2297great channel man. Thanks for posting.
Sounds like Paul Rogers from Free
Somewhere , Someplace , Ronnie and the boy's are smiling 😁

Great cover of my favorite Skynyrd tune

I heard that they opened with this song a few times.
That's what I'm thinkin' bout...
Man this is a great version not as good as the original but they got the fire and the heart . . .
IMHO this is better than the original.
@@josephrz6230 Me too. I like this as just as good. I love the original too.
Audley Freed...doing the work of 3 masters...all on his own
I love what they've done here, but I have to give the nod to the original, too. It's a great song, and I'm happy to hear another version of it.
This is a great version but no one can outdo Skynyrd when it comes to Skynyrd
What a killer band. “Black Lassie” from Cheech and Chong lol…
Thanks Richard for this , got any more ?
Yes, I' have a couple of really good bootlegs, it's just finding the time to do the videos and post them! :D I will put some more up when I can.
Richard Frost Great , Can’t wait to hear em !! Love that band !!

Not bad!
Audley is great on this one. Vocals OK not really his range - Van Zant sung it like Paul Rodgers would
But seriously, folks. Is that kel playing rhythm guitar? I know he could.
It had to be.
