Throwin idea's out there for people looking to build a drillkart like me.If the drill is 12v to 19v you can rig it up to a car battery increasing the runtime and power. Also, if you have 2 stock battries you can rig them up in parallel to double the runtime OR in series if you double the power.
I gotta give credit to "Daddy Handy". I saw a video of the go kart he made, then poked around TH-cam and decided I will give a crack at it. Whala! The steering column is from an old old kick scooter. The steering wheel is purchased on Amazon. The motor is a RYOBI drill. The tires are from Harbor Freight. The accelerator cord is from a bike brake line. Good Luck and I hope you will have as much FUN as me building it.
+Richard “RTE” Fletcher Jr why not both? hahah! i think it'd be kill to have a air impact, you could convert a real noss bottle to air. mount it somewhere on the little thing, rigt it up to and impact, attached to a go cart clutch rigged to the axle. bam! turbo button.

+Anthony Marin Thanks for the comment. I am very inexperienced with motors, hence the battery power drill as my motor. I guess I also need to learn about belts or chains as well. I will build a model 2 this summer, hope to add stronger motor/belt or chain system as well.

How did you make sure that the drill was getting enough pressure or grip on the tire to spin it?

Trade the drill for an impact wrench and do wheelies.
I'd be half down for that idea. Slap a portable airtank on it and Like, maybe a big ass valve with a lever. Flip the lever for boost. LOL.

The turning radius of the left and right rear wheels is different during corner rotation How did you solve this problem?
i believe they are individual by ball bearings the force is on one tire not on the rod, if you see the rod is not spinning, is tie on with zip ties
Now put a solar panel canopy on, and all day play...
Funny! I don't know how much charge i can get from a solar panel that size, but i am sure my son would appreciate the shade on a hot sunny day.
