DC could learn a lot from Marvel with the Epic collection line idea. I grew up with Sal and John's artwork gracing the major of the comics I read. This is a definite must buy whenever it eventually gets released. Thanks for spotlighting this epic.
Recently read the Marvel Select for Thor which covers the God Butcher stuff and REALLY liked it. That line is so good for people like me who dont read much marvel and want to try some stories out. I really want more thor now. Personally I always found it harder to get into marvel stories since most of the great ones seem to be older than I am. But that god butcher story was really cool.
Buscema from was a fave of mine from the late 60`s to the mid-70`s. He was doing full pencils at that point. His later style was more layouts and the inkers determined the look which worked out well for Savage Sword when he had the great Filipinos finishing him. The last thing I bought by him was an OGN he and Stan Lee in 1988. He inked it himself and I thought both the art and story were horrible. Had a great Joe Jusko cover though.
Thanks for the video Omar. I will be the first to admit that outside of Simonson's run, I'm not all that familiar with Thor stories, but there were 3 that I remember enjoying: Spiral, Ragnarok, and JMS's run with Coipel. Keep sparking interest with this content.
Given the impending PAUSE on new comics/books due to Diamond, maybe make a video of all Epics released so far for each title similar to how you lined up the first 6 Epics for Thor at the start of this vid. Thanks a lot.
Now this, this is a must buy for me. Absolutely love silver and bronze age Thor and been waiting for this epic. John Buscema was the perfect successor to Kirby's mighty Thor imo.
I’ll be all over this, if I can get it. I’m in the uk and I’ve struggled to get that new captain America epic last week and I feel this will be the same. Guess everyone is getting in reading material for the isolation period. Hope all involved with the channel are well and may everyone stay safe.

I love Bronze Age Marvel material, it is the height of the comic book art form and John Buscema is one of that era best artist. I will pick up a copy, I hope we can get reprints of vol. 1, 3 and 4 as usual the after market prices are insane. Thank you Omar!
The artwork in that book looks AMAZING!!! I've been drawn to the bronze and silver age Marvel for awhile now, and that look of the art is a big reason why! To me, that is what a comic looks like!
Do you know what's going on with Uncanny X-force omnibus. I preordered mine long time ago, but us europeans didn't get any, and Amazon doesn't know when they will be getting them in stock. I quess it's related to situation in the World. I don't mind waiting, I'm just really worried that I'm going to miss it.

Are Marvel/DC books being delayed? I’ve been looking at their calendars, and at least for the weekly books, they are still coming out (by the barrelful in Marvels case). It sucks cuz my local comic shop is closed due to corona so I obviously can’t get them

Mpsword Wouldn't think it'll happen anytime soon. They have enough new ones to get out, plus, they're starting to put the content of that omni out in the Epic format.

This is lots better than the bad thin paper we got in Spidey Venom and better than the Infinity HC. I really like this one here. The art really stands out.

I can say that sadly those silver age books didn't sell well, but these are different times. We can always ask.
I would love to collect Thor in epics if i wasn't buying other lines. Hopefully one day marvel reprints them all.
