Incredible show from start to finish. They elevated every song above the studio versions. Musicians actually singing and playing music. What a concept in the digital age....
Of the many live concerts of hers I've heard, one thing is constant. She blows like a Florida Hurricane.I always say to myself; damn Linda, your gonna break something.I never got to one of her concerts when i was young and its one thing i truly regret
So GREAT a legend of all time on earth! Gifted Ms. Linda Ronstadt with a powerful soft yet pure passionate vocal singer. Having a very angelic face generous very smart talented. Love you Ms. Linda you make us the world happy ever. God bless and more power. Praying for your good health. Long live Ms. Linda
I’m pretty sure I was at this concert. I definitely saw her in the mid/late seventies in Boston. She has/had the most heavenly voice on the planet. Stunning and amazing is this woman. A great humanitarian as well ❤❤❤❤
From the mid 1970s to the early 1980s Linda was just a plain workhorse singing in concert after concert. I saw her in 3 of her concerts during that time and they were all fantastic. Give Linda a microphone and you instantly fell in love with her and her voice hands down. One of the great voices in music history not just rock either.
Really appreciated your comment. "Workhorse" is the word. Her vocal cords must have been made of steel. Her inability to sing in later life was not due to cord damage, but by impaired neural messaging. In interviews, she has repeatedly said that she did not like being on the road-that she was basically a homebody who did not like performing on stage. Such a credit to her professionalism that her live performances consistently awed and delighted her audiences. What she most enjoyed about her phenomenal success was that it gave her the means to hire better musicians. She just turned 76 on July 15th (2022). Makes me happy to know she is still among us. She won't always be, but her music will.
@@lnl3237 Good to hear from you Mr Inl. JESUS said 'unless a man is BORN AGAIN he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3.3). Age 31 I was still not saved. Absolutely sublime her voice is just to cry for. She just never thought it was. If people thought that her albums would not have sold as they did. Just sorry I missed all this till now. Australia we did not get lots.
The warm sounds of So. Cal. on a cold December night for the Boston blue-bloods. Quite the contrast eh? It’s the music though that is the common denominator in this case. I was 9 and too young at this time. Fast forward to a few months ago - when I found the Offenbach, Germany ‘76 Rockpalast film of Linda. This gig has the same band and set list from only a month prior to this. In my opinion this was her best lineup. Waddy, Andrew, Kenny, Walsh, Dugmore and Botts. It really doesn’t get any better.
Except that Linda is from Arizona and the Music Hall of that era was a Rock & Roll dump. I saw one of the greatest Bruce Springsteen shows ever there, three months after this show. Symphony Hall, where the Pops and BSO play, is a couple miles away. Maybe that is the venue you're thinking of? Some "blue-bloods" at that hall, most nights.
@@davidking8839 the old Boston Music Hall morphed into what is called The Wang Center now. I quite don’t understand how mean when said that “that Linda is from Arizona.” I know she’s from there.
Probably because this music has far deeper roots in the Okies and Texans, Iowans and Missourians, Nebraskans and people migrating from the entire Ozarks and Appalachia, who arrived in Southern and Central California, some leaving the Dust Bowl, some the endemic poverty elsewhere, and even earlier, in the 1920s and 1930s, than anything rooted in California before they arrived (and others from all over the USA, too!) bringing their legacy of song. And THOSE roots are all over the British Isles. Linda melded that with her Mexican roots as well, it's a beautiful synthesis and the musical / artistic result is transcendent as the heavens and as earthy as the soil. @@luvbasses5487

You're "pretty sure," exactly! It was the 70s and the 70s were so often what people think the SIXTIES were, so to speak!
