One thing i rarely see mentioned is that in the world of one piece. Every character has names for their attacks. Mihawk as far back as I can remember never once used a named attack which either means that he doesn't name his attacks or he has literally only used normal slashes until now.

I believe if Mihawk had attacked Jozu directly, he would have adjusted for his diamond body and Jozu would have either been seriously hurt or taken down.

when Mihawk visited shanks to tell him about luffy. Mihawk mentions he isn't interested in fighting a one armed man and speaks as if the are basically equal swordsmen (you don't say something like that if you are clearly levels under someone). I thought maybe shanks isn't classed as a swordsman. But then I thought have we seen him do any combat without using a sword at all? And I cant recall him not drawing his sword against anyone in a fight or preparing for a fight, even in the flashback WB has on buggy, shanks is in the background holding duel swords. I feel like the one piece videos aren’t really that great maybe lacking a deeper analysis of the character ... to me this ok if you are a new OP fan but if you are well versed yourself in OP and OP CONTENT, it felt a little redundant and boring ...they did very good 7 deadly sins videos with passion that you could feel...but these fall a little flat for me.
A battle would only last long if the contenders are on par or a bit stronger than the other, otherwise it wouldn't take last very long. It doesn't necessarily mean that if both parties are "strong", the fight would take long certain of time. You have to consider the gap between the two first.

I'm pretty sure Mihawk will turn out to be absolutely overpowered. He's the ultimate goal for Zoro (which is probably the most important non-protagonist figure). I believe Oda will show his true strength against some other prominent character (I suggest Fujitora ). Ultimately he will side with Shanks against the Blackbeard crew and will die by some cheap trick pulled by Shiryu (maybe multiple crew members join). Then in Laugh Tale Luffy and Zoro will take revenge.

I feel like the one piece videos aren’t really that great maybe lacking a deeper analysis of the character ... to me this ok if you are a new OP fan but if you are well versed yourself in OP and OP CONTENT, it felt a little redundant and boring ...they did very good 7 deadly sins videos with passion that you could feel...but these fall a little flat for me.
A battle would only last long if the contenders are on par or a bit stronger than the other, otherwise it wouldn't take last very long. It doesn't necessarily mean that if both parties are "strong", the fight would take long certain of time. You have to consider the gap between the two first.

I'm pretty sure Mihawk will turn out to be absolutely overpowered. He's the ultimate goal for Zoro (which is probably the most important non-protagonist figure). I believe Oda will show his true strength against some other prominent character (I suggest Fujitora ). Ultimately he will side with Shanks against the Blackbeard crew and will die by some cheap trick pulled by Shiryu (maybe multiple crew members join). Then in Laugh Tale Luffy and Zoro will take revenge.
I still believe hawk eye can cut diamond!! Even at the marine fort war he could have beaten the diamond guy!! But he chose not to, because he was not interested.

Yonko is a territorial title not a strentgh title. Mihawk doesn't need to be one to be as strong as them. Oda has confirmed that Mihawk is above all swordsman which means he's logically stronger than Shanks who's also a swordsman.

I think mihawk leaving and not wanting to fight with shank is because he knows shanks can no longer have a sword duel (basically fight the only and best way mihawk knows) like they used to and doesn’t want to sully that memory of shanks. (When he had someone in the world that could have legendary sword fights with him.)

When he was introduced he said to be "Pirate King, would be a much harder journey than to be the best Swordman".
There are more people who want to be the pirate King than the best swordsman and it's harder to put together the best crew and maintain control over it. Those are some of the reasons it's a harder journey besides just strength level

In Alabasta we learn that a master swordsman only cuts what he intends to cut. Zoro demonstrated this by slashing through normal palm leaves without damaging them.
My point is, Mihawk intended to cut human flesh, not diamonds. If Mihawk had attacked again, this time with the intention to cut diamond, it would be a different story.
This has also been further shown in marineford itself.
Daz Bones blocked an attack from Mihawk. Does that mean Mihawk can't cut steel? Of course not. The blocked attack was intended for Luffy, not for steel.

Bleach characters are much faster and stronger than the One Piece verse. Soul reaper ichigo after he learned flash step should be able to blitz and one shot Mihawk who can't even see him btw. Bankai Ichigo is overkill and Vaste Lord Ichigo is definitely overkill.
