    The main reason I workout at home is because I can just get up and do it, saving the time I would have to spend on traveling to the gym. :)

    I workout with videos too Laura, we are so similar with the gym feelings. I soooooo agree. I use the firm videos....they are awesome! Cardio and weights is the only way to change the shape of your body! Thanks for always being so positive. You both are very positive and a joy to watch. Hugs from Grand Cayman!

    OMG I LOVE THE 30 DAY SHRED!!! I SWEAR BY IT. It helped me to lose 15 pounds and now I'm so confident in who I am and I just feel 150x better!!

    People tell me the same! They say I should workout when I started working out they say it isn't enough and that I should join the gym. lol You don't need to buy DVDs, youtube has a lot of workout videos and they are free! you can vary them much more often than with a DVD!

    I'm not a gym goer either, I have tried for years and just can't get into it. I took the gym classes, but found that times they were too crowded. Home workouts are the way to go for me too.

    totally agree about mixing things up. i did gillian michaels 30 day shred then shook it up with insanity& tara stiles yoga. my body changed instantly.

    Laura, I absolutely love your channels. I love how real you are. And even though you are thin and fit, you don't have an air of snobbiness to you. I love people that are NOT snobby and you are so personable. :) I actually want to lose weight myself and I will definitely be keeping this video in mind as a motivation/information guide when I start looking into things more.       I used the 30 Day shred by Jillian Michaels 3 times a week and together with eating mindfully I lost 12 Kilos in 6 months. So these DVDs do work, if you know what you're doing.

    I can't wait to move in with my fiancé at the end of next year/beginning of 2015. My bedroom at home is SUPER tiny with no room to work out, and there are no other private rooms big enough to work out! I'm gonna get an exercise bike when I move out and look into these DVDs, so thank you Laura for this video.

    That is SUCH a good idea! I'd love to see this kind of video ! I always have problems storing all the food that I buy ! I'm getting better but it's not totally it, and I'd be glad to know how Laura Vitale manages to do this !!

    wow Laura I feel like we're so similar! I highly dislike the gym, I prefer being in my own home. I feel I am my best motivator and I would rather not have the pressures, loudness and craziness of the gym. I love running on the treadmill and then doing a workout video! It's my favourite and it has helped to change my body so much!

    Hi Laura:) Thanks for the video, it gave me a little boost of motivation...
    There are two things I would love if you could share with us:
    first, your workout diet - some ideas on what to eat before and especially after a workout.
    second, a bit like the video you posted about kitchen tools - what would be the essencial fitness equipment to start with, like wheits and mattress for example.

    That´s what I do, I work out in my place, specially because I don't have the time to go to the gym, since I become a Momy, so I rather to do it there. And I believe you, cause it really works for me too.

    Some people are really snobby about their work out routine. If you're not doing it their way, it's wrong. I agree with you about gyms. I lost 43 pounds doing Zumba in my basement and kept it off for 2 years.

    i must say i don't do a lot of exercise. i am in college and studying most of the time. however, i do physical activity such as walking around the college. i park in the free parking lot which is in one corner of the college and i walk to my classes. this way i get at least 20-30 minutes walking those days. while i am watching something like youtube videos i just lift literally like 3-lb weights haha. and only sometimes at that. i also dance every now and then to kpop music :) i learned the dance of this one song that is quite intense and that always helps get my heart rate up. i decided a long time ago i would never be a gym-goer. just... no. i really don't do much, though. yet i am certainly on the learner side and don't have a hard time gaining weight or anything. this isn't necessarily due to genes. i eat a practically vegan diet, eating only select animal products (in small amounts) maybe 3-4 times a month. i understand laura is a cook, like she said, and she doesn't eat the way i do with all my extremely simplified meals (such as literally just fresh fruit or a sweet potato, skin and all, i put in the microwave). it works for her working out this much, but i know it's not for me. i can't imagine working out that intensely that much... i'd rather just walk for hours :) and that is how i prefer to live my life.

    I don't like gyms too.1) I feel like a hamster in a cage jumping from one machine to another 2) looking at exhausted people made me tired twice more 3)Hygiene issues.
    So last month I bought a small step machine and a rowing machine.I work out in my own pace,i.e while watching TV, listening to my my favorite music.I have seen better results then i did in gym.. I do 30 minutes on step machine and 20 on a rowing machine twice a day and I'm loving it. I also make meal plan which is a life savor.

    Does anyone have any tips for how to wake up and do exercise straight away? I always find I feel a bit sick/dizzy

      Hi, I'm not sure how old you are or what shape your in but see your doctor If you haven't been exercising regularly. Make sure it is no other problem.

      I'm a swimmer and I train 5 mornings a week. I have strength training before I get in the pool during 3 of the mornings. I sometimes feel sick and dizzy during strength training. In the morning, your body's circulatory activity is more dormant than it is throughout the day (especially in the early morning). You are working out, but your circulatory system is trying to sustain your muscles and your brain, with very little power. That is why aerobic exercise is best in the morning. It activates your circulatory system. I would recommend doing aerobic exercise (cardio) in the morning and anaerobic exercise (strength training/sculpting) later in the day. You also get more bang for your buck that way. Your body will be better at supplying your muscles with the nutrients they need to develop later in the day (when your circulatory system has become more active). Hope this has helped. :D thebirdisblue

      I am the same. It's even worse: When I work out first thing in the morning, the dizziness and nausea will stay the whole day. So I workout in the evening, first thing when I come home.

    I'm doing insanity with my mom right now. It's really kicking my butt! I'm not a big fan of working out at the gym because I feel self conscious about sweating in public. I'm weird about stuff like that. Love ur videos!

    for workout when ur traveling i suggest jump rope. its easy to bring with you, and its a very very good workout. all u need is a good amount of space. u can do 1 min jumping then 14 reps push ups . mix it up with toning exercises

    You just need to force yourself to do it for as long as you can. Once you have been at it for a month, maybe a few months you really wont want to stop. Once you get there its much easier to keep going because its part of your life and it makes you feel good to do it. And you dont need friends with you, its not social time its workout time!! People just get in the way honestly...

    Hi! I workout at 5 am, but I'm one of those people who prefer to exercise with an empty stomach, otherwise I feel sick. But I know you should be awake at least 20 minutes before starting working out, and you could have half a banana, since you won't be so hungry that early in the morning. And have a real breakfast afterwards. I hope I helped :)

    I'm a student, and I don't have time to workout in a study day. Last summer I workout really much, I lost a good amount of weight, but then I started studying again, I'm fat again. That's what I'm afraid of exercises.
