Dilijan city of West Azerbaijan!
Azerbaijanis have always lived on the territory of Dilijan: Karakoyunlu, Akkoyunlu, Safavids, Afshars, Ghajars, etc. This is evidenced by the ancient Turkic-Muslim cemeteries and monuments that are now located on the territory of Tavush, Geghargunik.
Dilijan was the center of the Dilijan Region of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, located on the section of the Gazakh-Dilijan railway, entered in the register of Azerbaijan Railways. In 1918, after the harsh treatment of the Azerbaijanis and their forced deportation from Dilijan, in 1920 this land was annexed to Armenia
