The main appeal of owning modular synths is to be able to make sounds that are difficult or near impossible to make in your daw. Like generative ambient music, or experimental sound design. (Both of which can be done in a DAW, but you can make some pretty crazy stuff with modular if you know what you're doing).
@jenstrudenau9134 nah, all daws are just electronic simulations of reality converted to binary system to produce an accurate interpretion of the real thing. But in analogue synthetizers you're actually creating a real sound. All knobs are actually wiggling inside the synth and the sound is not corrupted by a digital format. I mean, yeah, you can't really tell the difference between digital and analogue if you are not familiarized with analogue synths. Analogue is more fun tho
After investing so much money and using such high technology, this sound is disappointing. I have even witnessed this sound coming from some free vsts. I think modular synth is an unnecessary mess and disappointment. I don't understand why people insist on it.
I don't understand why you INSIST on how others stend their money & what opinions to hold lmao. It's a hobby! Seems like you had an ulterior bias and CAME IN looking for a reason to hate it... says more about you than us, really.
I've seen graduate electrical engineering labs at MIT with far fewer knobs and panels
sounds phenomenally rich to my ears idk what ya'll r on about
It kinda reminds me of "Valley of the shadows" by origin unknown lol
Fs!
Want see someone saying that is not sufficiently analog 😂😂
Well a large number of these modules are digital, so...
Modular ≠ Analog only
Thousands of dollars to create something that sounds like my first five minutes of a free daw
I think this is in a store, not a personal rig.

Hey thats an eschatonic modular case ... eric needham is a saint
LOVE
Holy shnikes! How large is your system?! Sounds great! New subscriber, here!
It’s interesting to turn the knobs, but why is it so sad to listen to this

Sounds terrible
