  • In this video, we show off our RenewAire EV-200 Energy Recovery Ventilator. We'll tell you why we decided on an ERV, and show you the duct work needed. If you're building a new, tight, super insulated house, you should consider an ERV or HRV.

Great video. I wonder if you ever made the hood vent one? I looked at your channel and couldn't find it

I did not. I have some footage, perhaps I will make it! We’ve been in the house 2 1/2 years now, have since added solar. The solar array heats and cools the house for free, plus we receive cash and bill credits from the utility.

Hi, are you exhausting and supplying to more than One Room in your house? I'm using Independent Install Setup. When Exhausting/Supplying from/to more than One Area/Room/Locations, How do you maintain Suction/Supply Air? I Have noticed a Significant drop in Air Suction from Exhaust and Decrease in Supply Air when I "Tee" in to more than One Area. The 6in Ducts drastically drops the air movement after I "Tee" Off into Any Location. How do You Overcome this?

I only exhausted to one spot, in the living room. I haven’t noticed a decrease in suction from the three bathrooms locations.

Have you got new filters? I know you can wash them but wondering if you have bought new ones. The ones I see online for EV200 doesn't look like the squares I have. I heard you can buy bigger ones and cut them.

How come you didn't merge the ERV system into the HVAC system and save all the running of the ducting?

I could have I guess. I had my reasons at the time, can’t remember what they were 🤣That was almost 2 years ago now. System works great as is. Thanks for watching

Does your fireplace have its own fresh air intake?

Yes…I installed a make up air kit for the stove hood, and put it on a switch so that I can turn it on when I light the wood stove

@@whitepinewoods9029 What make up air kit did you go with and where did you put it. You mentioned you might do a video on it, but I couldn't find it. Thanks!

Are we concerned about the condensation that bathrooms get when showers run, into the ducting ?
