1968, you are with friends at a party, and you are a wallflower who’s not enjoying themselves. As you sit, you see all of your friends talking to people, so you head for the bathroom.
As you’re about to open the bathroom door, you bump into another person. You end up talking in the bathroom, locking the door so no one can come in, and you get to know that they are just like you.
You can heavily relate to this person. As you both talk about your feelings, this song comes on. You are at the opposite side of the wall, so you move right next to them, and you end up talking about the most saddest things as the song plays.
While the song is playing, you could feel yourself sinking into the feeling of grief, yet clarity. The small taps of the water dripping from the faucet grows louder. The smell of cheap cologne infiltrates your nose. Your body relaxes at the warmth from the other person next to you.
Believe it or not, you found peace in that small bathroom.

She shook her head, leaning over one of the sinks. She was here for the same reason as you. Her partner broke up with her a few moments ago. She sobbed, wiping the mascara from her puffy eyes.
You sighed, looking at yourself through the sink mirror. In a moment of empathy, you gave her the unopened water bottle, and told her it was going to be okay. She accepted your offer... through an orb of tears, she looked up at you from the mirror and giggled.
"...thanks." She said nasally, as she leaned in close for a hug. You pat her on the back, and told her to have a good time. She nodded, as she began to walk out. Suddenly, she stopped in her tracks, and turned to look at you as you were splashing your face with water. "Uh... hey." She clopped over towards you.
