You're walking down the streets to your new apartment. It's raining and you don't have an umbrella, not that you need one anyway. You feel the rain falling from your hair to your shoulders. You love the rain, it's so calming. Your shoes get wet as you walk through the puddles. You walk next to a building and suddenly you hear this music. It's so calming.. you stop to listen to it for a while. You imagine yourself dancing to this with your dream partner. Suddenly someone walks into you. They apology:
"I'm so so sorry.. I didn't see you I was um.." you cut them off "listening to the music? Yeah me too." You two akwardly stare at each other but it feels good, you two were meant to meet each other here. As you look down to your soaked shoes he suddenly asks "Ma'am.. I know we just met but.. do you want to dance?" you look up to his charming eyes. You can't really see the eye colour but they look very calm and peacefull. You laugh softly. You look into his charming eyes again; "Of course.." and you grab his hand. He brings your hands to his neck and lays his arms on your back. Not too far down. "He is just, perfect.. just perfect.." you think as you both slowly start dancing. The peacefull sound of the music on the background and the rain falling on both of your faces. But you both seem to not mind it, you're just enjoining this peacefull moment. It feels like time has stopped. You rest your head on his shoulder and he rests his head on your head as you keep dancing. You don't even have to say a thing to know, that you two are meant to be.
15 years later
You walk home with your husband from getting some food from the supermarket. As you walk past the same building you hear this music again. You look at each other and you both start to laugh. "Ma'am.. I know I just met you but.. do you want to dance?" He gives you a cheecky smile as you laugh at his joke, feeling your cheeks turn red a little. You grab his hand and start to dance again. There she is, your daugher comes running towards you. "Mommy? I wanna dance too!!" Your husband grabs your daughter and you start to dance with the three of you. Everything is perfect, again. And this all of a rainy night next to a lovely building.

Reasons why you should stay alive.
1. We would miss you.
2. It's not worth the regret. Either by yourself if you failed or just simply left scars, or the regret everyone else feels by not doing enough to help you.
3. It does get better. Believe it or not it will eventually get better. Sometimes you have to go through the storm to get to the rainbow.
4. There's so much you would miss out on doing.
5. There is always a reason to live. It might not be clear right now, but it is always there.
6. So many people care, and it would hurt them if you hurt yourself.
7. You ARE worth it. Don't let anyone, especially yourself, tell you otherwise.

POV: Ever since you were a kid, you helped out at the resthome where your grandpa lives.
After a long day at his funeral, you return back to the resthome to grab the last of his things.
You pick up an old photo and suck in a quick breath. Tears and small whimpers escape you as you fall to your knees.
A boy visiting his grandparents sees you crying and walks over to you.
It's raining and the faint sound of music from the main hall, can be hear from where you both are.
It was grandpas favorite song...
The boy turns to you with a sheepish smile and holds out his hand.
You quickly wipe away your tears and look up to him then to his hand.
"M-May I have this dance..?" He asked you nervously scratching the back of his head with his other free hand.
"I'm the worst dancer there is..." You said to him as he helped you up.
He chuckled.
"I can assure you that no one can be worse than me. At my friends birthday, I tripped on my partners dress and accidentally shoved her into the food table." He said a little embarrassed.
A small smile made it's way onto your lips as you imagined the scene.
His eyes lit up after noticing the small smile that played on your lips.
"Man, you should've seen it! We were both drenched in punch! She had cheeto powder on her dress and oh man... I went to help her up and I slipped and went face first into the cake!" He exclaims with exaggerated arm movements and sound effects.
You giggled at him.
"A-ah.. you... you should laugh more... it sounds really nice..." he mumbles his cheeks dusted a rosy pink.
You smiled at him, your own cheeks now tinted a like that of royal apples.
"So, will you do me the honor of dancing with me..?" He asks with a sheepish smile.
You looked to the hand he offered.
Placing your smaller one in his, you looked back into his eyes that seemed to swirl in a childlike awe.
"Only if you promise to not shove me into a table of food" You said with a small giggle.
A big smile made it's way to his face.
"No promises!" He exclaimed as he twirled you causing you to let out a small giggle.
For the next few songs, the two of you just sway and make small talk, your giggles and his low chuckles filling the room.

POV: *-The police are on their way, but you don't care, you did what you had to. It wasn't your fault, he started it, I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.-* you think to yourself, slumped to the ground against the outside wall of the bar. You feel strangely calm after all that has happened tonight, maybe its the music, maybe its the adrenaline. You try to get up but you're shaking too much and the pain in your leg isn't helping. The images of the gruesome brawl flash through your mind like a photo reel, flipping by too fast to really look at, but also not fast enough to ignore. *-Why did I push him, was it really his fault? Why today of all days, just one thing after the other. I couldhave stopped him.-* You start questioning if anything that happened is even real, the music stuck on repeat from the damage inside brings you back to reality. Red and blue lights flood the parking lot, reflecting off of broken glass and the puddles from the rain. An officer is trying to help you but all you hear is the music and the rain, everything else just blending into background noise.

You feel the rain drops hitting your hair, your face, your arms. It feels cold and warm at the same time. There's a small cafe right around the corner with its doors open. You hear this song suddenly come up. You last heard this when you caught your parents dancing to this in the living room at night. That was the last time you saw them smile and say "I love you" to eachother. The memory makes you smile while a small tear rolls down your eye.
You're lost in your thoughts when someone bumps into you and mutters a soft apology. The voice, it's a little husky. the texture of it, like silk and daisies.
You look behind to catch the owner of that voice and to say "it's okay" but instead you find your eyes fixated on him, your mouth runs dry. He looks at you too, eyes unmoving from your face. You feel like you've known him all your life, but you don't remember who he is. Your heart is beating fast, your hands shaking and cold. "Why am I feeling so sad?".

I bump into her while running for the cafe. it's raining like crazy but there she is, standing without a care while the heavens break down on her. Its as if she is in a trance, but I cant see her face. I want to see her face.
I run towards the cafe, purposefully bumping into her. But I couldn't see her face. I'm almost about to turn away when she calls in my direction, and I feel my feet stopping in their tracks.
The voice, like butter. The texture, like sand on a warm beach. I turn around and look at her, nervous for I don't know what reason. All of a sudden, time stops, the world stops. It's only her and me on the street. And she's looking at me. A ray of sunshine and gold, staring back at me. And I feel electricity run through my veins.

POV: it’s a cold, rainy night in Utah and you live in a wealthy neighbourhood, you’re sitting by the window in you’re bedroom on the 2nd floor, reading a book. your parents invited a few guests over but you aren’t a very social person so you stay upstairs under your cosy blanket. you look across the road to see the lovely elderly couple who always smile at you as you walk past them every day walking your dog. they’re dancing together around their living room while this song from the 50s is playing. you smile. everything is so calming and you feel as though you could fall asleep. the rain relaxes you even more so you decide to go to get a glass of water then go to bed. going into you’re kitchen to grab a drink and some snacks, you look at the window to see the elderly couple cuddling on the sofa probably falling asleep together. you feel so content as you walk back upstairs to get into your bed. you turn off the lights but leave your lamp on as you’re scared of the dark. you start to drift off to the sound of the music and rain, your mother comes in to kiss you on the forehead and tells you she loves you.

It's a while back. Jane Austen's just published her third novel, and I'm curled up in the parlor of my uncle's stately mansion, only a few rooms away from his grand ballroom currently occupied by everyone of any importance. I settle into the loveseat (as much as this ridiculously gorgeous and ridiculously uncomfortable dress will allow) my head sways in time with the music. Footsteps pass in the hallway, two pairs, stumbling slightly. Drunken lovers add another chorus of noises to the ambiance. I'm depressed (in the same way every young girl is when they realize that their life is only worth however much their husband pays for them) far too depressed for dancing, but as the music swells, I find myself setting my book aside and swaying among the shelves lined with more of it's kind. (So many books, far more than I'll ever be able to finish. The thought is comforting, somehow) the music settles again, evening into an easy string of notes. I hear applause from my uncle's guests. I return to my novel.

You're in a cold cell now, reliving what happened while the rain beats down outside and the cell guard plays this song on repeat at the front.

pov: you're 11 years old and you're hastily rushing to do your homework at 6:47 pm. you're in your bedroom, with the door closed, but you can still faintly hear this song coming from your sister's room. your sister's boyfriend was staying at your house for a few hours. your sister and her boyfriend were slow dancing to this song and you could hear soft chuckles, along with giggles, as they accidentally stepped on each other's toes. you barely knew what was happening, but you were exhilarated for your sister, and you, rushing, rubbed out a wrong answer.
POV: you're in the shower, peacefully washing yourself then hear this song playing from what felt like next door. You easily remember your ex-boyfriend who left you and when you had your first kiss, listening to this song. Massaging your head, you realise whoever was playing the music had it on a loop. You remember leaving a pink lipstick stain on his lips and cheek. The song seemed to be getting closer, as if it were in your apartment. You wrap a towel around yourself and peek out of the door and see your ex-boyfriend sitting on your double bed you used to share when he lived with you. He looks at you and smiles. " I'm sorry I left you, I missed you so much I had to come back. " You look at yourself and shrink back into the bathroom, quickly putting on your fluffy, light but baggy pyjamas. You open up the door again and sit next to him. Before you changed you'd checked the shower was off, then you look out of your big window which was overlooking the big NYC and see it's raining. The clouds were a soft grey, droplets of water dripping down your window and onto NYC. He'd close the beige coloured curtains. It was perfect, you were with him again. Your love came back to you.

You set your now empty martini glass down and slip the ring off your finger. You turn it over in your hands as Paul sings sweet nothings echo out onto the balcony. In your last move to forget her, you throw the ring as hard as you can over the railing into the darkness below. You step inside to mix another drink and watch the moon peek out around the rainclouds. After sitting in a lounge chair watching the white foam waves roll onto the sand below you look at your watch. It's a worn Seiko Five you wore during your service as it reads 12:15AM. You remember trying to imitate Paul's voice while slow dancing with her. You thought you were a bad singer but she loved it regardless. You take out a cigarette and flick open your old and scratched Zippo lighter and light it, taking a long drag. You think about what you could have done better. What could have been. A single tear rolls down your cheek as you finish your smoke. You silently mouth Paul's lyrics wishing everything was ok.

*Waking up hearing soft whispers of love and laughter from the old couple in the other room.. I made some tea and sat down looking out the opened door and watched the rain fall. Then I reminisced about the past years as I stared into the dark grey skies which cried in such a saddening way but yet so harsh and as if it was angry. I couldn't feel being lonely anymore cause I was alone most of my life. As I remembered my early years in life, I realized that I made so many bad choices back then.. Damn I wish I could of seen what I did to them and apologize. For some reason during my mid year of high school eromyna yrc t'ndluoc wohemos I even though I went to so many funerals. Looking back I never did anything my parents ever admired, I was just your average kid clumsy, very I mean very emotional. I loved adventure and went exploring the world meeting people along the way but they never stayed long obviously. But if maybe during that trip, if I could just find a ounce just a little or a small amount of evol or srehto eht ekil layarteb on dna pihsdneirf. As I sat staring into the gloomy skies and remembering things about the past I sat there head against the window frame and closed my eyes I could see my storm brighten as the song slowly came to the end and I realized that the eternal dragon shall now fall asleep forever.

You gaze across the street, and you see a (boy, girl, etc., whichever you prefer) waiting at a bus stop. They have an umbrella in hand and their phone in the other. They’re soaked as well. You stare at them for a while, they’re actually kind of attractive. They look up from their phone and lock eyes with you. You quickly look away at your feet, hoping they didn’t see you. You hear footsteps in puddles. “Hey.” You look up, and to your surprise, they’re standing right in front of you. They hold their umbrella above your head. “What’s your name?” they ask. “What? Oh, Y/N,” you respond. “Cool, I’m *****, you seem troubled, you ok?” You turn your face back down towards your feet. “I’m unhappy with my life, with myself, with this world,” you respond. They smile at you. You look back up at them. “I hope I can help,” they say. “What do you mea-“ you begin to say, but before you can finish they begin to play “Put Your Head on My Shoulder” on their phone and put their umbrella down on the sidewalk. They stand up and give you their hand. You grab their hand and they hold you in their arms and dance with you. “You’re so stiff, loosen up, you’re dancing in the rain, isn’t it amazing?” You take a deep breath and put your head on their shoulder. “You are amazing. I love everything about you,” they say. You look up at them, and you lock eyes once again. It feels like you’ve been lost in their eyes forever.
