    Thanks for your comments and I agree isolation makes a big difference. One thing to consider. Using 3 supports not 4 under electronics can work well in anchoring the kit and adding a strong and more stable platform. I find 3 stillpoints work better than 4.

    • @PursuitPerfectSystem
      @PursuitPerfectSystem  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have the opposite experience 4 is always better than 3 - however 4 is harder to get sitting nice and tight under the kit and often causes instability if you dont take the time to get them all biting tight under the kit. Thats easier and harder with still points as they adjust height dont they but they have small top plates - well the smaller ones do

    I have bought a couple sets of cera discs thought they were reasonably priced compared to other products on the market, I have tried them on components and noticed raised dynamics, couldn’t place them under my speakers since my Mk150s are wall mounted but my favourite placement was under my pair of X8 subwoofers not exaggerating but huge gains I now possess, This was achieved using three small ceramic balls. Guess it’s the larger balls next and I highly recommend them you will not be disappointed.

    Just been trying out some GAIA IIIs today, and they were very impressive, shouldn’t be long before I get some on my system - I wouldn’t be surprised if this product really takes off soon - they’re really well designed and I can see many systems benefiting from them - looking forward to hearing your opinions on them :)

    Hello, I've been using, 50mm oak cones under all my equipment, which I turn on my lathe, which I find really good & there cheap to produce, I've got a video coming up, where I'll be making a isolation table from scratch, using oak cones underneath, stay tuned for it. Another great topic & video, although alot of upgrades can be subtle, but add 2 or 3 together & it can amount to a big one👍

    Look for Sorbothane pads. I built some isolation pads for my speakers using that material and it works great.

    • @PursuitPerfectSystem

      Juan. Lega the best isolation products in my testing so far act as drains for the vibration. I forgot to mention that about the cera-disc.
      The GAIA are different in how they work.
      Sorbuthane in my experience under components softened the sound and made it mushy.
      The Cera disc or still points do the opposite to the sound that's just been my experience

      Pursuit Perfect System mine are set up with a drain/absorption design. Speaker spikes on top of Sorbothane discs.

    Should be a interesting A-B test with those Gaia 2s I look forward on your thoughts because as you no I was thinking about buying some for myself . Not sure about the other product you have for putting under components I could probably see it working better for things like CD players , turntables but not sure about amplifiers , streamers , Dacs .

      Blacksabbath25 it's funny I have found some amplifiers to see the most improvement. They vibrate the most as they have big torodials is what I think.
      You won't find the ceradisc any where for demo but you will find stillpoints. Get a demo of them and you will see what I am on about

    Has anyone tried utilizing Gaia Isolators under subwoofers? I am really curious how they would benefit under subwoofers in a home theater.

    Looks like interesting products. I need help with my Spendor A4s. I love them but the bass resonates throughout my whole flat. I was looking at Townsend Seismic Platforms. How would these products compare?
    Thanks

      @PursuitPerfectSystem  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You also might want to consider bass is building up in your room due to room acoustics and room treatments or dsp might give you better results for what your describing.

      What about GIK bass traps? Would that help? It's not ridiculous bass. However when you touch the walls and sit on sofas you can feel the bass.

    • @PursuitPerfectSystem
      @PursuitPerfectSystem  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alejandroolivares-nunez7896 possibly a bit it depends on whether its a build up or if it's a transfer into the building structure. It was just something else to consider that was all

    • @alejandroolivares-nunez7896
      @alejandroolivares-nunez7896 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey thanks for the reply and the info. I think I'm gonna look into some room treatment solutions from GIK acoustics. I'll start with a with 2 bass traps. The acoustics of the room are actually really good. It's just the low sub bass that seems to really hang around and resonate. I'll also look at improving the sound of speakers with GAIA 1s.
      My setup is Spendor A4s running through a Sugden Audio A21 SE using a Zen Dac V2. Will look to upgrade the Dac to a Denafrips product in the future.
      I'm quite new to the audiophile hobby. And extremely with the speaker and amp combo. So the pursuit begins! 😁

      It was worth it for my REF 3 so I think it will be worth your effort to try them yes

    I bought a far more expensive (~ $850 direct from the manufacturer) product for my Kef 103/4 Reference, speakers the Townshend Seismic Isolation Bars:
    www.townshendaudio.com/hi-fi-home-cinema-equipment-vibration-isolation/seismic-isolation-bars-for-speakers-subwoofers/
    I'm not sure they were worth £850 (more closer to around £550/600 in my estimation) but my system is not very good so maybe they will improve with better components. Nevertheless they are much better for wooden floors in apartments, since the speakers don't touch the floor and the vibrations don't filter down to your neighbours below. Google them for a video demo and perhaps check out Townshend at future hifi shows.
    Thanks again for a great video, looking forward to the demos.

      jaspal kallar I have seen them a lot at the shows they do interesting demos using an iPad showing how they stop vibration.
      Never heard them in action yet though

      Hi Matt, Not yet I haven't, A friend has bought a lot of them, he might answer in here regards to them. Pretty sure he said to pay attention to their orientation same as the GAIA isolators but I could be wrong on that one - sorry I cant be of more help

    "Buyers satisfaction"...... Were you really hunting for the expression "pride of ownership"?....... That aside whilst those Gaia units may be designed for use with loudspeakers, but what if they where screwed into the base of an amp instead of the supplied feet? The black chrome finish will look beautiful with those black/copper foundry ref 3

      Marcus Latuske-Hearl that's what I was looking for had a mind blank.
      They are not designed for amplifiers and kit it's not that sort of product. IsoAcoustics have the Orea for under components

      Not quite right guys. Merrill Acoustics use the Gaia footers under some of their amplifiers

    I was laughing at the random potted plant but I fucking lost it at 10:30. At the start of the video you said you thought maybe the reason people think this stuff is snake oil is because there are so many options, but I put it to you that the reason people think it's snake oil is because of random unexplained nonsense like this.
    What property does this object have and in what way does that property benefit a DAC by being placed on top of it? Is it just a really expensive weight?

    • @PursuitPerfectSystem
      @PursuitPerfectSystem  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you go and see the series I have created for the Chord Qutest - its not finished it just so far.
      When I first got the Dac I had a certain level of sound quality and I gradually improved the sound quality from doing different things. One was isolating the Qutest.
      I have done all manner of recordings for the same songs to show the differences as I have gone through the Qutest series - ending up with some of the best sound I have heard so far from any system and I have listened to a lot.
      If you want to get a demo for yourself to see what I am on about manyy dealers stock Stillpoints (these are similar to what I use) go and have a listen and see what you think.
      PS there is a reason for the plant, I haven't delivered that joke yet

    • @Nallenbot
      @Nallenbot 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pursuit Perfect System I think you're missing my point to a degree. In the video and again in the comments here you talk about using products for what they're designed for. I went and checked that product and as I expected they're not designed to be rested on things. I also can't find any property of the device that I can understand helping in any way by being rested on a DAC.
      So I'm asking you what's going on here, what is it doing, why does it help? Does it just function as an expensive weight?
      I'm asking you this because when you say "here's this product made with ceramic and all that, and it costs £150, rest it on your DAC for better sound" and you give absolutely no reason for this to be the case the assumption will of course be that it's snake oil.

    • @PursuitPerfectSystem
      @PursuitPerfectSystem  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I appreciate I didnt explain that bit very well in the video - some products are designed to isolate from vibration - rubber based products and similar.
      However others are designed to drain vibration, some are designed to do both.
      The ones on top are there to drain vibration from the dac

    probably has a commercial interest with these, too many promotion videos for a product...

    • @PursuitPerfectSystem
      @PursuitPerfectSystem  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      What commercial interest is that then please say you have some sort of proof to make an accusation like that?? you wont have any because there isn't any.
