Love your reactions Chainsaw. I enjoyed watching your reactions for Hardwired. You should do reactions on the songs from KEA, RTL, MoP and AJF and then tie them back to how they used that experience in 72 seasons. There's alot of it in here. I know you pointed stuff out from Load, Re-Load and Hardwired, but this album is, no pun intended, LOADED with homage from their 80's albums. Keep up the good work!
@@nate-ds9tg he doesnt overplay atleast, except constant snare rolls.. he is not quite nick menza heh... I dont really get why he has to play like this still, atleast in the 80's he was maybe not extremely technical but somewhat creative and wrote fitting parts. Now he plays so conserved. Maybe its because he wants it to be easy live? Hm..
Yeah. The main riff is very untypical of metallica. Im not a music theory guy but it sounds like its in major, which of course is not very asisosiated with metal. Its so refreshing when they play around a little bit musically, and not just try to create the old music again.
@@Gorre022 When I heard that riff, I got goosebumps. This album is loaded with homage paid to those that influenced them. Sabbath, Dio, Motorhead, King Diamond, Thin Lizzy, Misfits, Maiden and I love how they took all of that and mixed it with what they have done over the past 40 years. The more I listen to this album the more I like it, but after listening to the album about 10-12 times I still stand by my first comment that the last part from Chasing Light and then closing with Inamorata is the best part of this album. I liked the other songs, but I can listen to the last part all day LOL!!
@@Gorre022 I don't know about you but the harmony at the end of Room of Mirrors gave me chills. The only other harmony Metallica does, that hits me like that is from To Live is To Die.
Right there with you, man. "You Must Burn" is a big grower. Truly I like all of them. Best album since the Black one. On the cusp of liking it better because they incorporated a bunch of old 80's riffs & a few solos.
Love watching you react to metallica. I don't have a lot friends who listens to metallica and I absolutely love em. Glad too see someone who reacts the way I do. This is IMO not the best song from the album but I'm just glad they still are dropping stuff. Shadows follow is my favorite! 🤘🏽
As a long time drummer, I think the verses and what you're hearing is that Lars is just changing up his beat. He starts with a kind of half tempo feel and then grabs the verse up with a full tempo beat. That's what make the verse seem to "speed up" :) This is my favorite track of 72 Seasons by now, just love the main riff. It's soooo good.
hello I am writing to you from South America I like your reactions to metallica songs I really like that band a lot, since 98 The previous album really disappointed me but I love this one In fact, this new album made me give the previous one another chance, and it's not that bad. I personally think that Metallica finally stopped insisting on bringing metal to the masses, and left it in the dark where it belongs. Aesthetically speaking, darkness fits much better with metal. Let's leave the light for the pretty women. It just doesn't fit with heavy metal. And that's one thing I don't like about their previous works and videos. I think the concept of 72 seasons is a bit for teenagers and I don't like that. But I love this album musically, the lyrics, everything. And I love Kirk's solos, and hardwired's are also not bad. We ask too much of them, it's unfair, they're a great band if you like heavy metal.

This is one of those albums that gets better every time you listen to it!
Defo!
Favourite tune has changed all weekend
Chasing light sucked what a souless horrible glob of nothing
@@rustedeternityi turn up to this song ts hard 🔥
1:51 i am absolutely in love with that riff, i can't get it out of my head.
Such a riff heavy album, also noticing Lars doing awesome stuff alot.
This is probably the laziest Lars has ever been.
What "awesome stuff" is Lars doing? Because as a drummer myself, I can't hear anything remotely awesome. It's just Lars by the numbers.
@@nate-ds9tg this person thinks its awesome. let em live
@@TheoneandonlyEETFUK No. They stated their opinion and so did I.

This is one of my favorites from their new album. James’s voice sounds great and that chorus is just so catchy.
Those riffs and solo too.
This song has some of the heaviest riffs they’ve ever written. It’s almost got like a Pantera groove that hits. Love the whole damn album!
I’m obsessed with this album. It’s Riff Mania!
this is one of their albums with the most beautiful riffs
72 Riffs
"James, why can't I see anything?"
"THERE'S NO LIGHT!"
This comment made my day
Thank you 😊
That main riff sounds like a retro game boss fight music. Very catchy
The last three songs is probably the strongest closing a Metallica album has had in a long time. Can’t wait to see the reactions.
I don’t like that room mirrors or whatever is called lol . Or maybe I need to listen it more lol
Crown of Barbed Wire and Chasing Light def sound like Ride The Lightning era Metallica 🤘🏻
Yes in ways
That riff...so much tension, goes for 2 bars, grabs you and won't let you go...wow
love this song james sounds incredible ..oh and those riffs are huge ear worms so infectious
This song is so weird sounding to me but i can't stop listening to it, so good.

This has been stuck my head all day lol what a song
This is just unbelievable, i can't Believe anyone who ever liked Metallica pre 2000 would like anything about this
LEAN ON ME!!!!....chills...voice is awesome
I wasn’t the biggest fan of this song, had it like 11 out of 12 on the album but it has since grew on me a lot. That chorus is awesome
This is one of my favorite songs from this album.
Thank you for appreciating my solo, I surprised myself on that lol.
They pay respect to Black Sabbath with a riff from Country Girl. I like this song. The back part of this album is the best part.
So glad I wasn’t the only one who noticed this 💙🤘🏽

waiting for Room of Mirrors. my favorite one right now
Tomorrow!
omg...you will love the last three songs...they are my favorites by far on the album
My fawourite from this album.
The main riff is awesome.
The very similar intro just like "Broken, beat & scarred" song from Death Magnetic. Awesome song. 🤘
My favorites are room of mirrors, shadows follow, chasing light, 72 seasons, if darkness had a son and inamorata.

SUCH A KILLER SONG!!! IT'S AWESOME TO HEAR NEW MUSIC FROM METALLICA! TIRED OF HEARING THE OLDER STUFF!!!
This album is just so much fun to listen.
A melhor do disco. Tô viciado nessa porra desde o lançamento. Pior do que droga na minha cabeça,kkkk. O disco é muito bom 💪🏼🇧🇷
Bangers on this album in my opinion 72 season, to far gone, shadows follow and screaming suicide.
All songs are bangers except for sleepwak and crown
Best song on the album in my opinion
This song is great but I'm really looking forward to your reaction to Room of Mirrors. Sick song
i recently bought this album its is little bit of sabbath its a good song
Man, I m still waiting for Inamorata from you..can´t wait ;)

Dude that riff OH MY GOD 🤘🏽💙
who does the vocals "Lean on Me" ?
I can't get over the solo section at 6:40 that backing riff so familiar but not for Metallica. Very catchy.
Best song After metallica 2000s
Solo reminded me jump in the fire's solo.Kill em all vibes what i meant
Yaaaa My Favorite 😎

“THERES NO LIGHT!!”
LEAN ON ME
The final Part of This song … the best!
Ordinato il CD un ora fa. 🤘M72🤘
LEAN ON ME 🤘
That's probably the "most live-sounding" song on this album (It's just my opinion)
Dude on you’re tenth listen you’ll know… or your second. Hit me real quick
Sounds like through the never

This album is phenomenal best since black album defo but...the mix of drums especially cymbals being TOO LOUD.
Lars and his Ego god damn it
