Ah yes. The way to beat the boss. Become a god with maxed everything first... Great advice... Anything else other than grinding and BASIC COMBAT ADVICE?! No? Ok...
Honestly after fighting them a few times I do have three pieces of advice for this boss battle. Mobility is #1. Speed boat with both boosters and for the love of God use the bird pet as its the only one that does ANYTHING for this fight. Damage over defense. This boss is the most deadly for me not because I can't take a hit. Its because I can't take 5! They chain you with the whirlwinds and later on tentacles. Even with better gear and coming back to it ignoring the tentacles and killing the titan faster seems to be the best option. Any lengthy fight will only be to their favor as they just make too many tentacles. Range ONLY. Melee is suicide. Be sure to have all the best range foods, potions, and of course set your points for it along with poison crit in mind. I've tried other tactics like bridges (tentacles don't care). Respawning close by (you get maybe 2 additional tries if your fast and lucky. Then tentacles spawn and break it) which does help but not as much as I'd like. Using melee (full fire set. Solid up to thier last faze then I can't get close enough). Tanking (arguably illegal I used the sea armor you get from killing them? And a shield to better negate damage. Mobility is 100% better). Dodge chance (works for the tentacles. Not for the cyclones as they sort of suck you up and hit you multiple times). At least thats my experience and advice.
You can find the Fisher NPC in Azeo's Wilderness, I came across his little fishing hut before I had beaten the bird titian. But probably far easier to just get the bait for him to come to your base.
You actually don't need to use the shovel to get the shells! I punch them with something that doesnt have durability (fist, food, bridges, boat, etc.) so that I can save durability :D
You don't need any of it at all in the current version. It's not like he hits for less or anything, but don't need so much health at all. There's so many ways to kill him super easy right now, even with the pre-octarine gear, but the old-school one from the Early Access is just to cover whole room with any type of ground. Tentacle that spawn on ground, dies instantly leaving 2x2 hole at their spawn point, but they never spawn twice in the same place as it's randomly around you. You won't kill him in 5secs but it's as simple as to just run around and stab him with the dagger or slash him with the sword. At this point you should have pretty developed garden and poison slimes farm, so just bring with yourself some Greater Healing Potions. When I was fighting him, I had Stone pants and chestplate, Slime king crown, iron shield and mining rings, amulet and lantern. All the fight was just running around him and stabbing him for like 1min, while drinking potion from time to time - 540hp btw.
By 800 base hp do you mean with or without armor and or armor reforges? Because if it is the former that would be super annoying, having to grind for like tons of big mushrooms an amber larva to get that amount...
@@jonobrien8848 I wrote this before the change that made it to where only one max health increase per item per character (as in only allowing things like big mushrooms to increase max health once) was implemented, one could technically get infinite hp back then, if I remember correctly
800 hp is a large suggestion- with the latest update i was able to beat him at 472 max hp with a chakraw. Speaking of HP how do I even get that much??? This is my first playthrough and I'm nowhere near that.
Also for anyone wondering, I had a gold jellyfish, a bone ring, a golden crystal ring, and a mold vein necklace equipped. I also used a reinforced galaxite set. Food wise I just used a pewpaya + a carrock, and a mold spore + a bomb fruit for filler. Along with that, I used an amour potion, and a few healing potions.
Thanks for this and the mass guide I have been struggling with these bosses, off topic question I had a single item called rare berry pudding with no mushy, hearty or anything else in its name that ad 18% dodge chance for 6.5 minutes. I have no idea how I got it, its not in my recipe book do you have any idea?
@@Serroh I had a reply on my reddit post and its a hearty berry mixed with a gold dart from the sunken sea water, it gives you 18% dodge for 6.5 minutes at rare levels. Pretty good for dodge builds I believe? Speaking of which are you planning on doing an updated dodge build guide as I believe there is a number of new dodge items added in this expansion
Do spike traps still work on bosses? - Also, damn no wonder I struggled, those tentacles one hit is just under half my HP gone lol. Well I didn't struggle too much but it wasn't fun the first time lol. I am gonna kick his butt later when I have more HP but one win will do for now
So, funny coincidence... You know how the Soul of Azeos is at 12:00, the Soul of Omoroth is at 8:00, and the last one is at 4:00 from the center of the soul chart? That's how my outer biomes are from the core... LOL XD
I was the same, bit challenging with that much health I thought lol but then I am not the best at the combat/boss fights lol. I panic as soon as I am in water in a game haha

xD pretty much . im glad this game allows you to ..though a shame ..they could be wearing even better stuff muhahahahaha
there is not much to this boss actually, you just have to outdps it or you'll drown in tentacles

800hp basically impossible in current 0.7.1

Aids boss from hell. Absolute living nightmare. I'd rather fight Radagon over and over for 5 hours a day every day than fight Omoroth again.
how do you have the map markers persistent on the minimap?
this was great! thank you
Happy to help!
Man you base is quite bright, how you do that? Even torches everywhere can't be that bright.
I have a video on it. How to illuminate your base
How do you have the map markers persistent on the minimap?
I know the vids old but how do I get the ivy armor
you have so much HP, im in galaxite armor and i have 552hp o_O
why is ur base all lit up even tho there are no lightsources near it?
How to beat this boss as a melee

I have a question how many hours did it take u to find All Things for the Phantom spark?
I spent about 7 hours straight
this is old because hp got rebalanced but good general tips.
Jo Serroh
do u stream?
Rarely, but trying to more often

Hmm I don’t think I’ve seen that but I’m curious about it too.

They do but not on the two new bosses

NO, NOT THE TIMES IN THE VIDEO! Forgot that would happen... silly comments. Silly me.
I dunno what game this is but it looks cool lol
Core Keeper. GIve it a try its on sale :)
can i just place a ton of bridges and not use a boat?
Yes
You could, but in the fight he'll spawn arms in the water that'll destroy whatever it spawned next too or on. So your bridges will get broken!
i defeated omoroth and i only have 600 somthing health.
I was the same, bit challenging with that much health I thought lol but then I am not the best at the combat/boss fights lol. I panic as soon as I am in water in a game haha
I bet that was rough, gg though! 800 is definitely ideal so you should try and work on your HP to better consistently farm bosses
Noice
You don't need a shovel for breaking the sea shell tho, you can break it with anything except for weapons. Just to justify. hh
Thank you :)
lol just wreck him with your maxed out character with like 3k hp np
More vids
Please
I played the game so much before the update. Now i lost the fun when playing
Sorry to hear that
