Nergal plays TF2 IRL on god
The video have alot of nice Easter Eggs in it. Alot of the lyrics from this song comes a Thelma summoning ritual called Liber Samekh, which is said to summon your Holy Guardian Spirit, which would allow you to speak to Angels, Demons and Spirits, a extremely complex ritual that's requires a experience "magician" to conduct. Also the child part is a protection and purge ritual. Now Nergal as the one eye person, some believe it's a representation of Odin but unless it's been confirmed by Nergal, he could also be representing Malphas, the second in command of hell, which normally he appears as a Raven but if you demand it, he can appear as a old man with a harsh voice. Of course their alot more content in the lyrics but this is the basic and I'm too lazy for a 30 page essay on this song.
Nergal hints he is interested in the norse mythology, He even used the Madr rune in the logo for me and that man.

While I'm only a fan of a select few of their songs there is no doubt that their videos are high art and reach the level of cinematic brilliance.
The song and the video is an artistic masterpiece.
Check out Sulphur Aeon man, similar vibe, different sound. More melodic/power metal kinda riffs. More German basically. And cthulu rather than satan essentially.

@Jimmy Hollywood they good. I just feel they stepped left with the satanist and started writing heavy pop songs rather than the masterpiece evangelion was. Check out Sulphur Aeon man, you'll enjoy.
Went to a Meet and Greet with the band in Calgary a few years ago and they're not only really talented, but also extremely nice and laid back.
And most of all what stands out: Educated.
Im not a huge Behemoth fan but this song slaps.

Have you guys seen them live? I got to catch them on this tour and fuck... They ended with this song and all put on black masks with huge horns, all standing up, not moving during this outro section (drummer included). It was so eerie and so damn powerful.

I hadn’t heard much of them until I read Nergal’s autobiography Confessions of a Heretic (I’ve read it three times now). I became an instant fan and now consider them my second favorite band after SLAYER. More Behemoth!
Behemoth is a wonderful band for sure. Nergal's use of Thelemic themes throught their music is a very nice touch as well.

I've watched a million reactions on TH-cam and thought I'd seen it all....That is until I saw someone watching Behemoth, in a Piggly Wiggly t-shirt. 😅
It's probably already has been said, but then I'll just go ahead to say it again... the sequwnces with Nergal being "one eyed" is a reference to Oden (Norse Mythology), the chained up man on the mountain is supposed to represent Prometheus (Greek Mythology) and the boy with the candle in the mouth is from the religion calmed Thelma, it's ritual performed for purification and procreation for example (the religion was "made up" and/or invented by none other than Alistakr Crowley).

Seeing the revolver with no bullets takes me out of it, but this is a masterpiece of a video and song.
Also no, Behemoth don't worship Satan as a God (Coven, Watain, to name a few things worships Satan as a God) Pretty much in a nutshell, Nergal is Atheists but uses Satan as a archetype. Also on the side note of music and Satan worshipers, Rob Zombie gets "spooked" a little when you do the proper display of the "Devil's Horns.
The better definition would be atheistic satanist: an atheist that uses satan more as a metaphor, if you are a member of The Satanic Temple, or if you go onto their website, and look at the 7 tenets, the one states that your belief of satan should conform to ones best scientific knowledge of the world, and that you must be careful not to distort that scientific knowledge.

I could be wrong, but I believe Nergal is at least Satanist, and specifically not Levayan Satanist. I believe with all the references to Norse and other pagan traditions, its a cross of Satanism and something older.

@@MatandChelsReact I'm talking about how society is accepting satanism in their music. And if you criticize it, you're seen as a bigot or toxic. If it were any other religion like Muslims or Jewish that's offensive. But Christianity deserves to be mocked? Seems backwards and double standard to me.
We see music as being subjective. We listen to bands both with Satanic themes and bands with themes of Christianity. We also feel people get too caught up in judging other people’s music taste these days.
