Wow what a game!!! A final before final. The game was for a take for both teams. S.A went pound for pounds with Nigeria. The fact that the winner got it through penalties lottery says it all. I'm am sure Nigerian players don't want to play against S.A anytime sooner, they will tremble for some time each time they hear the word Bafana Bafana and visa vesa. As for my comment for today - I will like to say, CONGRATULATIONS 🎊 !!! To the Super eagles 🦅 of Nigeria for their win against our own Bafana bafana, yes !! We lost and I accept the defeat.
We (Bafana bafana) lost a good fight against a good team and am not proud but humbled about Bafana bafana - nothing is lost.
Because, they are not leaving the tournament with their heads down 👇 but up 👆 looking ahead.
Also, they are not leaving Afcon empty handed, they coming out with (1) the experience they gained in the tournament will help them going forward (2) people in South Africa, now !!! Will take them serious - Bafana bafana will supporters on the stands in their next matches (3) now !!! Bafana have managed to change how they are seen by others - in Africa and around the world, Bafana bafana will not be seen as just a team, but they will be taken seriously !!! As a team, that is competitive.
For me !!! Bafana bafana, didn't come to Afcon to win it, but to lay a foundation of win in the next Afcon - FIRST step to that, was to restore the respect that Bafana bafana had in the 90's and they managed to achieve that.
Next step now !!! Is to recruit new players that will help them to win the next Afcon - already !! As we speak, they are players that are asking Broos to look into their profiles, interest to want to play for bafana is back 🔙 players like Foster, who brag to play for bafana bafana - we will not beg him no more !!! He can stay with Burnely and keep helping them to avoid lose after lose.
