Fun fact: It was Jose Mourinho that recommended Jose Peseiro to the Nigerian Football Federation. The analyst was smart to note that Peseiro's style is similar to Mourinho's.

Osimhen can be very dangerous with such moves. He has done it several times even this season in Italian league creating something out of nothing against stronger Italian defence. I won't blame that defender trying to stop him just that osihmen is very fast and alot of defenders have made such mistakes. He is that intelligent and can score from that angle or even create an easy pass for a teammate to score like he did with kvara this season.

The more efficient and effective team won at the end. South Africa tried but they lost to a tougher and effective side. Winners are decided by goals and nor possession or chances.
Nigeria is the only team left yet to lose a game in this AFCON and they are strong favourite.
CIV interestingly have lost 2 games yet here they are in the final.
The final will be interesting for sure. May the best team win.

My anger is why didn't the ref stop play in that moment to award the south African side the penalty. Trust me, if by chance the ball rolled out as a goal kick, the ref wouldn't have called back play. I feel like the super eagles and particularly osimhen have been marked out. With osimhen being the 8th best player in the world by the balon dor ranking, African player of the year, best in Seria A and Napoli, a strong contender for MVP at the afcon and a possible African champion, you can't help but feel like the officials are already tired of his success and that of the super eagles but God has always being granting us justice.

I also know the SA side to be really good and they made their statement on the field play but why did refs let the play continue since they already knew SA got a penalty for themselves. If Nigeria had wanted to play their football, they wont use back-5, and SA might not get hold of the possession as it played out. Peseiro is just being conservative and trying as much as possible not to concede any goal, hence he's more concerned with retractive defense play
