Okay, so during Doug's most recent stream, I emailed Kink directly with:
"Hi everyone at Kink BMX. Was hoping you could settle a silly argument. Your 2022 Kink Cloud and 2022 Kink Williams aftermarket frames, are they the EXACT same frames that come on the complete Cloud and Williams model? Thank you."

Hold onto your seat because here is their word for word reply:

"Hey Kirk, This is a great question! I'd love to solve this debate for you. The complete bikes are different to the aftermarket versions. One being that these are made in totally different factories. Second if we are looking at the Williams complete compared to the aftermarket frame. The aftermarket comes with knurling on the rear dropouts as well as integrated chain tensioners whereas the complete bike frame doesn't come with these elements. The heat treated and gusset technology definitely varies between the two with the aftermarket being the stronger version. Only thing that really stays the same is the geometry. - Curtis Shaw, Kink Customer Service, USA.
So, while I appreciate the honesty in this reply, their ads do seem a little misleading. You buy a Cloud or Williams complete, most would think they're getting the high-quality aftermarket but this just isn't the case with Kink. Cheers!

Good job on the detective work!! As far as I know, the only companies that offer the same EXACT aftermarket frames on their complete is WTP and Sunday. If someone knows others doing thew same, please chime in.

@pipeline audio They're not lying but it sure feels misleading in their bike advertisements.

Great video, but pls also tell the height/weight in non-american units, the rest of the world doesn't use feet and pounds.

Aftermarket bars aren't expensive. So I wouldn't add much value on that.

SUBROSA LETUM 2022 complete bike is the best offer ever, nobody can beat this offer, just $630

Chainstay is 13,5" on the Letum... Not the big Deal

@@Lala-dr3vf what do you think is the best chain stay size?

    • @Lala-dr3vf
      @Lala-dr3vf ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Hassan-Alnajjar I prefer Something around 12,9-13,1. Max 13,25
But it is a question about what you want to do with the bike.
The Letum is more Like a beginners bike, could be use for jumps and pumpteack, but the in those Case the freecoaster makes No sense. I would Test different Bikes bevor a buy. In the end, If you do BMX Sport seriously, it will never Stop with buying Just one Bike. So the Letum might be good for Somebody who is already good in tricks on a freecoaster, but for beginners I recommend a Cassette. I used two Bikes for learning, a smal 18" and a bigger geometry 20". Both for other tricks. If you fail on a smal bike it won't be as deadly as on a bigger one😄

@@Lala-dr3vf thanks for the info bro, I didn't know that the shorter chain stay the better it is,
using a smaller BMX to learn new tricks sounds like a good idea, I never thought of it, I might get an 18" BMX for my daughter then I will use it 😂

@@Hassan-Alnajjar in fact is a shorter CS a Bit more aggressiv, to aggressiv for for to learn some tricks BUT helps you well to learn Body coordination and If you fail it will be less deadly 😁. Bunny hop, ramps, 180s, those basics are good to learn on a small BMX, in my experience, but If you jump and Manuel, than a longer CS is recommended !!!!!!!!
A Stock 18" is Not a strong material Bike, so an adult Rider needs to custom IT a Bit. But just for learning basics IT will Last😉.
Look Out for SALE! Subrosa makes good 18". Double wall rims must be If you find. Chromoly parts are NICE, but hard to find in 18" full builds. So keep in mind Not to shred IT to hard

Sucks that there's basically zero quality bikes for riders 5'3"

Limited choice, yes, but I'd suggest looking at a short top tube Colony Sweet Tooth.
