Here is a link to the video that I mention. This is for lifting your models off of the build plate and goes into much more detail for that process. th-cam.com/video/kxnAKA09d6s/w-d-xo.html
I have found changing one to a different color filament makes it easier to see the connection. When I am ready to print I put both pieces back to the same filament.
hi thank you for the tutorial. I cant seem to find the video you mentioned on adding the cube you create at the end. What is the purpose for adding it to the build plate?
Oh in the video I add the cube to lift the model up off the build plate so it now has supports underneath the entire model. This helps prevent failures. This is a strategy that I use a lot when printing organic shapes like bones. I should have been more clear on that. Here is the video that I was referring to that goes into much more detail. Sometimes I forget that are many people that have not watched my previous videos lol. th-cam.com/video/kxnAKA09d6s/w-d-xo.html
If you have windows a way easier method would be throwing the parts into 3d Builder. Usually the parts come with locational data so 3d builder can fit them together perfectly. Or if not it can also do it automatically. 90% of the time it joins together imported parts without even a seam. Then just merge the parts into one and export as a new STL file. No aligning by eyeballing needed! Microsoft discontinued the 3d builder but on most installs it is still there. If not you can still get it from trustworthy download sites since it is a very useful tool.
Not sure which part you mean but if you hold down CTRL you can select multiple models. Also if you hold down shift you can drag a box over multiple models as well. Check out my complete tutorial, it teaches you all the tricks!
@@tayyabghori1351 already planned actually. I have my script started. Trying to get out my next big tutorial then I will film that video. I have 2 P1Ss and just added A1 and A1 mini but will do the A1 in October
Can you please help as I am trying to change one printer program to allow me to do it on A1 Mini printer as it's for another type of printer. I am using Bambu Sutdio to do it. Cheers Ross
I was having the same issue. Select the objects you're trying to arrange together, right click and select "merge." You should then be able to select the object you are trying to adjust the Z-axis of under the objects table on the left hand side and then move it around. Hopefully that works for you!
1 million times; THANK YOU! Everyone was skipping over the steps when you Merged, then selected it under the assembly. Seriously, Thank you!
NP Grant! Glad I could help! I appreciate the support!

Nice tutorial and good info but I too missed the significance of the cube.

How did you select both of them at once?

Hey can you please make a video on what you do to maintain your Bambu machine? What materials do you use?
