I had to stop it after 2 mins in I am a big T Rex and Bolan fan, saw them in 1971 when Jeepster was the new single. For me the singing here was at the kind of level I would expect to hear at a boozy pub karaoke.
I too saw T.Rex in 1971 and while you can’t beat Bolan’s original, to me Boy George and Glen Tilbrook do a wonderful tribute to a song that like us they grew up with.
@@alanruben Where did you see them in 1971? It’s all subjective isnt it. To me it is far from wonderful. Nothing wrong with the musicianship and they are both capable singers in their own right. That does not make the fact that here the singing was well below decent on this occassion. I have actually heard better pub singers than this.
Aye, it's shite. George has lost his voice entirely and he was never fit to lick Marc's platforms anyway. Guitar is also too polite sounding and as for that bloody sax!
Its why I wouldn't go and see him live now , his voice has been shot to pieces , he had an operation as he was having pain , and now his voice has been altered forever
I wish these new bands would stop ripping off Oasis , this is essentially cigarettes and alcohol 🙄 these types of bands are all the same , he might be wearing a big yellow hat , but he is no Liam Gallagher 3-2-1........
Go BG Go!🥸
Thx for sharing this. What a great night and now memory to have.
Amazing, thank you so much for sharing ❤❤❤
Great end to a fantastic concert. Squeeze was phenomenal.
S.E.LONDON's finest!

@@VAPIDISM Saw them at Wembley Empire Pool March 18th, 1972, not 1971, my mistake.

Thank you iPads for making these guest jams tolerable, if only to get the lyrics right
Boozy hen night karaoke vibes

As Father Ted so memorably put it "We have to lose the sax solo". Georges vocals are awful.

Boy George sounds and looks terrible...
