Glenn's voice is still so crisp and clear....
As much as I love Daryl Hall I think Glenn sounded better on this one.
Dude looks great too.
Ya Glenn sounds like 1982 kinda amazing
one of the most distinct and perfect voices in rock music history
He still has a great voice - credit also has to go to Chris for great lyrics (as usual)
Glenn is one of the best songwriters of the 20th century. So glad he is still around, performing and sounding GREAT! Thank you Daryl for having him on your wonderful show.
What a voice Glenn still has. One of the greats along with Chris Difford
Glenn’s voice has stood the test of time and held up remarkably well .
Oh yesssssssss ! So glad LFDH is back. Proper music, proper musicians, proper artiste`s, doing it live............Pure gold. 😁🤩☺
Absolutely…!
You do NOT know HOW happy I am to see LFDH back! And this song brings back SO many memories of university … !
Where can i watch on streaming app?❤
I'm afraid he will use me ànd ðitch me to whàt??? Use me for himself????
Absolutely 100%
SO GLAD to have this show back!!!!!!! Best in the Business.
Don't forget the other incredible vocalist from Squeeze who is still gigging regularly today and with a voice that is outstandingly good, Mr " Paul Carrack ". Its about time he was on with Daryl and the band.
Now that would be an episode for the history books.
Chris Difford is the other main vocalist and songwriter. Paul was only with Squeeze for a short time.
@@FacheChanteDeux When Paul was with squeeze it was the best they ever sounded.
and Yes we all know Difford was the other vocalist.
So glad you’re back! Glenn Tillbrook is a fantastic songwriter - truly enjoyed seeing him perform!
Chris Difford wrote all of the lyrics for Squeeze
@@vambo13257 ...Almost...
Dr. Jazz · Squeeze ... Composer Lyricist: Jools Holland
True Colours (The Storm)” by Squeeze was written by Keith Wilkinson.
But it's tough to find many Squeeze songs that weren't written by CD and GT
By the way...HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO Chris Difford NOV 4th
Glenn wrote the music ?, like a John/Taupin collaboration
Glenn's voice! Still so clear! Still got that range! So great to see all of the gang back as well looking, singing and playing fantastic. 2023 has gifted us!! Welcome back, gang!
You love glen don’t you? I’ve been seeing your comments and appreciate them .
From the first note, you can't help but smile in delight. So soulful.
haha. You nailed it and I exactly did that!
Lol one note and you know what's coming!
Oh man I am home again. Thank you Daryl for doing what you do so well, singing, and playing your beautiful songs, and bringing the best out and others as they sing theirs. Thank you Daryl❤️❤️❤️❤️ please record these, so we can buy the CDs and make you richer lol
Love this song! I loved seeing Squeeze on tour with Daryl Hall and John Oates in 2021. It's great to see Daryl Hall & Glenn Tilbrook playing music together!
Daryl Hall is 77 years old! Still has an incredible voice.
He seems like such a great guy. Don’t you think?
I can’t believe his voice still sounds like that! Squeeze are one of my all time favorite bands.
You have to appreciate how well crafted that guitar solo is.
Saw them support Madness, my wife wasn’t really aware of their songs. She asked after the night why Madness hadn’t supported Squeeze, they were stunning live!
They alternated on that tour....
Daryl, you have no idea the hours of enjoyment you’ve brought to my life. Your talent and dedication are admirable. I’m glad Daryl’s House is back!
Just great to see this sieries back with fresh guests, Daryl Hall has been doing the world of live music such a good service with his work on/at Daryl’s House. And also great to see Glen Tillbrook getting some well deserved recognition. I grew up in 60’s 70’s and 80’s London with Squeeze as a part of the soundtrack, Today I live in New England and it’s amazing to see this song reimagined by a select personnel of seasoned American session players. Not least to hear this one again but also to hear it acknowledged how sophisticated Glen’s songs truly are.
Daryl, so happy that LFDH is back! ♥🎶♥
Freakishly, Glenn sounds as good as (or better than) ever! Also, he's an underrated guitarist.
Love your work, thank you for bringing Daryls House back !!
This band is soooooo good.
Ciao from Italy here I am for new season
As someone who had purchased nearly the entire catalogs of both Hall & Oates and the Squeeze on vinyl as they were released, this was such a treat to hear. Glenn's voice & guitar sounding as good today as when Black Coffee was released, 41 years ago. Happy memories, thanks All.
Like seeing old friends you haven't seen for ten years.
Some haven't changed. Some have changed......a lot. LOL
Squeeze was so overlooked and underrated. I played Singles to death.
Glen Tilbrook's voice is so underated! He has a brilliant voice!!! Daryl......well, a complete legend!!!
Man- I remember when I first entered London at 24 and fell in love with all things English and Squeeze was certainly at the top of the list…….wonderful memories of coming home late on the tube wearing out my cassette tapes of Squeeze, Elvis Costello, the Clash etc . I was ecstatic for the first time in my life and this was the sound track of that life……
I remember when Squeeze did this song on the Uncle Floyd show. Such great songs. One of my favorite albums is Some Fantastic Place.
This is awesome! I love Gifford and Tillbrook. Saw them at the NY public Library a few years ago. And he’s also an under rated guitar player. His solos are so catchy and end perfectly
They toured with The Police so Sting loves these guys.
He rips on guitar! Very underrated
Brian Dunne is such a grooving drummer and a super nice guy. Glad to see you all back in action here.
I could not be happier that Daryl is back in action with this show. It's my favorite. I've seen Squeeze live and Glenn's voice is amazing live.
What a great singer/musician/songwriter Glenn Tilbrook is. Still don't understand how Squeeze didn't take over the entire free world.
Glenn looks fantastic-immortal. He's still in full voice and his guitar work is magic. I saw him solo and with Squeeze about five times the past several years and it's never disappointing.
My favorite Squeeze song. Glenn still sounds so good!
Holy crap! Thought I was listening to Squeeze circa 1982. Vocalist’s voice sounds fresh
GLENN has the liquid God given tone much like McCartney or Elvis. Very easy on the ears. He is very cool and Darryl and Darryl and his other brother Darryl ain't too shabby either! Thankyou guys for being so soul driven in your craft! Smooth as a baby's ass!
Glenn gave a superb intimate talk about music and his life at Womad this year. Such a genuine warming person .
I’m sooooo excited for the new season! I’ve watched previous episodes a million times, lol! You were definitely the pioneer of creating great musical content on TH-cam! It was so refreshing watching AUTHENTIC TALENTED LIVE MUSICIANS of all genres play with you and your talented band. You are one of the best musicians & singers still in the game today!
Thanks Daryl for starting “ Up the House” again! 😊
It was a blast performing on all these episodes. So glad to see the back.
Born in 1968 growing up in the 70s and 80s you were labeled heavy metal rock and roll New Wave or whatever
I listened to everything from country to metal
But Daryl Hall and John Oats was one of my favorite bands
to me what makes a good song is good music Good lyrics and good vocals Hall & Oates had all of those
there were a lot of good bands back then and I listen to most of them and I have a few favorite bands but Hall & Oates was right up there in the top five I remember putting H2O in my walkman and sticking my earbud headphones in my ears and putting my helmet on and just rolling that power on my dirt bike hauling ass across the California desert listening to Some Men Diddy Doo Wop or Open All Night
Daryl Hall and John Oates will play forever in my memories
the music from my youth is my photo album almost every song has a story and brings back memories
Like putting on a home movie
mom and dad both passed a lot of friends have passed I even lost my son a couple years back
my music always gets me through it Daryl said on his show one time he said a songwriter writes and Records a song once it hits the radio it's no longer his song because people hear it and it's adapted to what's going on in their world their life and the song becomes theirs never have I heard an artist say something as profound as that right there glad to see the show's back on and I just want to give a big thumbs up to Daryl Hall and John Oates there music and the memories that are associated with their music from my life
Have always been a big fan of Hall and Oates, so happy you are back Daryl 😊
Squeeze...one of my favorite 'go-to' bands since '79!
That was a blast!!! Takes me back to old LFDH days.
Thank you for coming back I've really missed the super quality of your shows on here thank you & your amazing band & the great musicians you featured
Tillbrook makes it look easy!
Pure Class!!! Loved Squeeze since their start, and I can't say enough about DH &JO. They are my music!!!!!
I love the backups on this song. Black, coffee in bed, black, black coffee in bed, black black black coffee in bed
Glenn you still got it man. Don’t ever stop. Cheers!
TIlbrook is one of music history's underrated gems
Glenn tilbrook is simply amazing!!
Can I make a request? I'd love to see another 80s band in Daryl's House! Get Duran Duran in there! That would be gold!
Perfect elixir for my bout with Covid. I feel better already! Bless you Daryl & Company!
Wow! That one brings back some memories. Well done gentleman and welcome back Daryl’s House!
OMG!! Best JAMS in the whole wide world EVERRRRR!! ... are back and being recorded for all of us, and lucky generations to come!!! FANTASTIC!! THANK YOU DARYL AND THE GANG!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE
I like this fun song thank you to everyone!
The fact that this show is back with new guests is amazing!
Wow, sounded great! How can Glenn's voice be so ageless? And while I've heard Coffee in Bed and the others for many years now, they still sound fresh.
Backing vocals as I listened I was O.M.G. They did it ! They fricken did it ! Sweet !😮
If there was any glimmer of meritocracy in the music industry, Difford and Tilbrook would be given all the gongs available, their songs are masterpieces, just savour those lyrics.
My favorite Squeeze song....this is epic...
That was awesome I’m am glad Daryl is back bringing great artist giving us great music to listen to on TH-cam. Daryl should put all these calibration on LP’s or sell them so we can buy. Love all the live music you are putting out. ☝🏽❤️🙏🏽 keep it going.
Glenn...you're sounding so great, and looking better than ever!
As an 40 years' Korean fan, I am so so happy to see you again, Darly!
What a perfect guest and musician to start this all up again. Squeeze and this song, and many of their others take me back to my college days in the 80’s where I was introduced to their music and just fell in love. What melodies and vocals! Thank you Daryl and friends for starting this season off with a gifted singer and songwriter. Lots of memories connected to this group!
Can you hear me screaming from Jenkintown Pennsylvania!! oh yes, baby. This is what I’m talking about. Darrell’s House, like no other!🎼🎹🎤🕺
Never thought I’d hear Glen Tillbooke sing Daryl Hall into next week. Hall,s voice is gone, Tillbrooke spot on still
This is one of my highlights of 2023!! Thank you👏👏 #lfdhtreasuretrove
I saw Squeeze in the 90s and was struck by Glenn's guitar tones...just a Tele, Mesa combo and maybe 4 pedals and it sounded perfect, every song. And his playing was lights-out all night.
Caught the tour last year in Hollywood Fl. Great shows from both. Squeeze is WAY under rated as a band. Glenn is fantastic!
YES!!!! You’ve been missed! So thrilled you’re back!❤️🔥❤️🔥
Love that you are back and I especially love the "More Cowbells" pic on the wall. Love you Daryl.
Oh gracious, Daryl is back!!
My first music of the day.
How wonderful.
As it happens, i am having coffee in bed today!
(Rotator cuff surgery)
XO from pittsburgh, pa
Squeeze one of the best pop/rock groups in history,
God Daryl sounds amazing, he never lost that amazing tone!! ❤❤❤
uh, what??
Amazing may be a stretch. Glen's killin' it tho.
Fabulous! Great to have LFDH back again with his wicked band. Great start with Glenn Tillbrook.
Glenn sounds TERRIFIC! Wow, giving hope to us older guys still singing those Squeeze songs at karaoke nights. Quality can be maintained.
Such a fan of squeeze, and Glenn Tilbrook. Grew up in the 80s. I’ve seen him twice solo at a place called the Stephen Talkhouse. I believe it’s in Amagansett. It was just him, and the lights went out. The power went out. He took us outside into the street. I think it was Main Street And we all gathered around him and he continued to play squeeze songs. One of my favorite moments ever and I’ve seen a lot of shows. And I’ve seen squeeze many times. I’ve actually seen them I believe with general public squeeze and Hall & Oates on the same bill. Unless I’m dreaming it I’m old. 🙃
Yes, it's in Amagansett.
Great experience you had!
So happy they are back !!! Glen hasn't lost anything.
He has one of the best bands on the planet! I love how they can all adapt to the style of the guests and make it all so special. Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing your talent somewhere we can all enjoy it!
Happy days are here again. Daryls House is back and Im doin my happy dance once again!
Glenn Tilbrook one of the most unrecognised songwriting talents in British music history. I saw Squeeze a couple of times back then including down Chiselhurst Caves at a private gig. Just brilliant! His best for me though is Cowboys are my Weakness.
@@terrymurphy2032 I should correct my post because of course it was Chris Difford who wrote Cowboys are my Weakness.
I remember watching The Old Grey Whistle Test in '75 and seeing Hall and Oates for the first time, never the same again
Given the global chaos nice to be in Daryl's World!
Yew! Glad your back! Squeeze brings back good memories!
The internet was made for this!
It's also a " very welcome back" from me too. Glenn, a talented composer and singer, is a worthwhile start too.
Darryl's House is the best!!! We love it.
You have to appreciate greatness.
Glen is just the complete musician , always has been, from early Squeeze right through till now.
The original backing vocals on this included Elivis Costello and Paul Young ..great track
I’ve. Seen Squeeze about 15 times. Genius. Still as good
This version sounds like something the temptations would do in the 60s.
Glenn Tilbrook , what a voice
Two voices still crisp, vibrant mixing so well
Saw Squeeze at Hatfield poly in 82/83 - they played to a crowd of 4, gave up after 3 songs and came and drank with us at the bar until close. Great bunch of lads.
Daryl's band is top notch.
My wife and I saw Squeeze open for Hall and Oats in Milwaukee. What a Night, what a show!
So wonderful, Darryl, you and your singing just seem to age like fine wine. Please consider putting together an album with many of your great Darryl's House tracks.
Only 38000 subs should be a million at least. So glad your back , i was worried.. This is the best show on youtube.
The real deal. LFDH is the best that there is. Love this!!!!!!!!!
