Ritesh's performance in Ek Villain as the villain was outstanding. The way he portrayed that coldness of a psycho killer in his character was really astonishing.
I loved the villainous character of Aalavandhan(2001)(Abhay in Hindi)..... The way Kamal Haasan sir played the villain's role is just over the top... That was also too scary ❤

Apart from Lajja Shankar, Ashutosh Rana also did a marvellous job in Dushman as Gokul. Dont know why dude didn't appear in that many films. Dude had the talent to go down as the top 10 actors in bollywood ever. Also, Prashant Narayanan in Murder 2, SRK in Anjaam should have been honourable mentions atleast

I would really love to see another brutally evil villainous character of SRK after Darr, Baazigar and Anjam. I hope Sandeep Reddy Vanga does that in his upcoming directorial because in an old interview he said that he'd love to do a film with SRK "90's wala Sharukh Khan" bad boy style.

John was very perfectly cast as Jim, must say. Just like Arun Vijay in Yennai Arindhaal.
Gabbar laid the blueprint for all mainstream villains. If you tried to write a character like that today it would easily be deemed as over the top or cringe but its the actor who gave it such grittyness that no else will even try to emulate what he did. If we look at sholay itself, the whole movie is what the modern masala commercial film looks like, gotta give massive credit to the writer and screenplay they were wayy ahead of their time

@@biplobdutta8997 Really? He belongs to an era when all credits were given to the hero of the movie and the villains were there only to be beaten up by the heroes. He was a legend and I wonder how you didn't find the versatility in his acting. Put him in any role: Villainous, comic or character he would do it in the best way possible. And did you forget her role in Indiana Jones? Perhaps he is the first Indian actor to act in some big Hollywood movie and attracting someone like Steven Spielberg needs a lot of talent.
Ranvijay Singh palyed by Irrfan Khan happens to be the villain star of Hasil. His nuances and expressions and body language were top notch. Watched the movie many times for only this character. Audiences always look forward for the scenes in which he had this iconic presence overpowering all other actors. He was one of the best actors happened to Indian film industry.
They should have kept him in the top 4
Dheeraj in Murder 2 must have topped the list. He is one of the most horrifying villains in Bollywood. No villain from this list can match his performance.

For me undoubtedly the best villain was Sudeep in Eega. He portrays different layers, and everything he had to just imagine as if someone is there in front of him, and act as the Housefly was CG generated

You miss Ramanna from Raman Raghav 2.0 . One of the pure evil character ever played in cinema . This character don't need any reason to do anything as he is complete in himself .

Saif Ali Khan in Tanhaji... Awesome Yaar... Though was Ajay Devgn in Title Role but Saifu was very hard to match by any other character or actor... Character was powerfully written by the writer... Hatts off Saifu...
Lajja Shankar wasn't a trans but just disguised as a woman... On the other hand, Prashant Narayanan in Murder 2 is someone that comes to mind who sadly doesn't get enough credit

Reason why ritesh's performance in Ek Villain is so terrifying is because the character is well written to portray him as being just an ordinary guy who had enough of people around him and finally snapped. On top of that Ritesh's physique and looks are also like that of your typical indian guy you run into everyday .
It's sad that Raman Raghav 2.0 isn't mentioned here , it is my favourite villain performance 😊

How could u miss Sadashiv Amrapurkar in Ardha Satya & Sadak.He was evil personified in both movies. Also Vinod Khanna in Mera gaon mera desh,Pradeep rawat in Ghajini Shakti Kapoor in Aag & yes Pran in Ram & Shyam too deserve a mention they were quite menacing in their respective roles
I liked Sadashiv Amrapukar in Nache Nagin Gali Gali, a humorous and crafty villain who outshone everyone in that movie.

I believe Maha Rani from Sadak movie was also one of the iconic characters. I remember the kind of fear he established in everyone's heart was amazing. Because all the other characters in the list were just affected in mind, this Maha Rani role played by Sadashiv Amrapur was one of his best acts.

His character was a misogynistic and psychopathic serial killer who pretends to be a customer, calls the hookers and murders them.
