Beautiful tribute, I saw Paul for the first and last time last year in Newcastle and he was awesome. Despite his health issues he was genuinely funny and his voice was excellent. R.I.P Sir.
Thank you Bryan. Yes, I am back! I hope my channel will gain some traction so that I can develop the content to better serve the rock/metal community. People keep telling me it is much needed. We shall see ... !
I used to see him a lot in the Standard music venue in Walthamstow, and eventually supported him with my old band. He was very nice to me when I was a kid who clearly looked up to him, and was always ok to talk to me about Iron Maiden.
Killers was my first Maiden album back in 81, it was the album that introduced me to Iron Maiden and made me go back and check their first album because of how Awesome it was ... I have to say those first 2 albums with Paul Di'anno has a different feel ... they feel Raw because of his amazing voice ... it's not that I don't like Bruce, but they are two different beasts... Bruce is more on the polished operatic side of the spectrum... I was lucky enough to meet Paul Di'anno at the Cart and Horses (the birth place of Iron Maiden) back in September 2023 , also saw him when he supported KK'S Priest on October 23 @ Shepherds Bush Empire ... a Legend that will surely be missed... but his Legacy with Maiden and all his solo work will live for ever in our hearts 🤘🤘🤘
Paul will be greatly missed, I was fortunate and privileged to have met him and chatted on a few occasions, a great guy. I do wish these interviews were factually correct though. He wasn't Iron Maidens first singer, but their third, and only Steve Harris has been a constant member of the band from their beginnings in very late 1975.
No I don't because he wasn't. AC/DC's first singer was Dave Evans, Bon Scott was their second singer. I find it annoying when any media isn't factually correct.

Thank you for sharing your memory of Paul.
I'm still astounded by the quality of Paul's work. Far and away my favorite Metal singer ever. Thank you Paul and the the band for being real.
"Being real" - what a great tribute - thank you for sharing that. It's a wonderful sentiment.
Lovely words for Paul. Brought tears to my eyes. Paul was & still is very special.
I'm glad you thought we did Paul justice. He will remain close in hearts forever. x
This was terribly sad news, Iron Maiden are way up there on my fave rock band list .
R.I.P. Paul, god bless you .
Vanessa Warwick - I haven’t seen you since the ‘Headbangers Ball’ days!! Great to see you are still involved in music 😀.

How amazing to meet Paul at the Cart and Horses - that must be a very special metal memory indeed.
@TrustinRock yes it was. I can proudly say that I managed to meet all 3 Iron Maiden singers .
Paul was amazingly talended and he will be greatly missed in the metal world. Thank you for this tribute and the interview, it was really touching.
Thank you. The kind feedback is appreciated. Paul sure left a metal-shaped hole in our world. x
Very nice 👍🙂
RIP Paul :( I miss you so much :(

Thank you for your comment and sharing your thoughts.
That’s being a bit pedantic. So you don’t consider Bon Scott AC/DC’s original singer either?
